"—Tessa Thorne! Let's congratulate her!"
Instantly, the entire venue exploded in applause.
Willow looked up in mild surprise, a brief flicker of shock crossing her eyes.
Tessa, on the other hand, flashed a thrilled and triumphant smile. Without waiting for the host's cue, she eagerly strutted onto the stage.
As she passed Willow, she purposefully shoved her shoulder hard, making Willow stumble.
Feigning innocence, Tessa smiled and said, "Willow, I didn't mean to steal your thunder, but... sorry, the gold medal is mine."
Lowering her voice so only Willow could hear, her lips barely moved. "Who told you to be so useless, Willow? Trash like you deserves to lose everything for the rest of your life."
Willow stared at her calmly, acting as if she hadn't heard the insult at all. Tessa scoffed, twirled around, and sashayed to the center of the stage.
Vivienne frowned, refusing to accept the outcome. As a renowned piano prodigy, she knew a masterpiece when she heard one.
Sure, Tessa's piece was fine, but compared to the rich, layered emotion in Willow's performance, it was glaringly hollow. How on earth did Tessa win gold?
Vivienne instantly suspected foul play.
After all, competitions in this industry were notorious for being rigged.
She immediately stood up and projected her voice. "I demand to see the judges' scores!"
It wasn't an outrageous request; even if Vivienne hadn't brought it up, the producers would have eventually published them.
Hearing the demand, the host smiled and said, "Now, let's ask all the judges to reveal their scores!"
The expression on Tessa's face stiffened for a fraction of a second before she forced it back to normal.
But Willow caught that split-second panic.
