“I guess I really am someone with a strong sense of vengeance-cold and ruthless. I can’t forgive those who owe me. I pay it back tenfold.”

Nick listened quietly, his gaze never leaving her. He could sense the faint fatigue in her voice-not physical exhaustion, but emotional weariness.
