Lenny glanced down at the bags. "My boss doesn't eat them, but his wife does. Her hands were injured, and the boss worried there might not be clean supplies for her. He sent me a message earlier. As for the sweets—she likes them, so now, he likes them too."

He deliberately detailed every point with precision.

Michelle's expression stiffened beyond control. "That's nonsense! They were clearly arguing—how could he have ordered all this for her?"

"Arguing doesn't mean anything, Miss Keller," Lenny said calmly. "When Miss Roswell arrived, the boss had already messaged me. When someone cares about you, even if you don't see them, you think of them instinctively. There's nothing more impossible to block with reason than true feelings."
