“With all those rumors blowing up–about you wanting to marry your sister–in–law–I shouldn’t have released our marriage certificate,” Aurelia said calmly.

“I was vain. I didn’t want the title of Mrs. Hawthorne to belong to anyone else.”

Dominic fell silent.

“And yes,” she continued, unflinching, “I forged the miscarriage report. I wanted to nail her to that homewrecker label for life.”

Dominic finally exploded.

She watched him with a faint, mocking smile playing at the corner of her lips.

Dominic’s gaze turned down at her coldly, and he spat, “Jason will drive you back to Oakridge Estate.”
