Blizzard First Love and a Wife Who Finally Snaps novel Chapter 306

“Not even your grandfather was like this when he was building his business empire. Pillaging and burning everything in your path.”

“Do you only open your mouth to annoy people?”

“Can’t you speak properly?”

Adrian’s brow furrowed deeply. “What are you doing here?”

“Naturally, your ‘glorious exploits’ reached my ears,” old Mrs. Blackwell said.

Adrian tugged at his tie again, annoyed by the sarcastic tone. He’d just had his fill of it.

“Stay out of our business. Just focus on getting better.”

“If I didn’t step in, do you really think you could solve this with that mouth and your behavior?” old Mrs. Blackwell retorted.

Adrian had always made his own choices, never consulting anyone. The Blackwell family had always given him a long leash. He had never made a wrong decision in his entire life, whether it concerned Selena or Isabel.

But now, everything was spiraling out of his control.

He didn't like it.

His usually cool temper had become agitated. He never handled things irrationally or without a calm mind. But with Isabel, it was difficult to remain completely calm and rational.

“How would you solve anything by coming here? By convincing me to divorce? That’s not happening.”

“If you don’t like her, why not divorce her?” old Mrs. Blackwell asked. “Is it because she forced you into this marriage and you can’t get over it?”

“You’ve been dragging this on for a while now. It’s been long enough.”

Adrian scoffed. “She dragged me into a marriage for six years, and she wants a divorce after just a year and a half?”

He was speechless.

“Grandma,” Adrian said, beyond frustrated.

Old Mrs. Blackwell slid off the sofa and lay down on the floor. Isabel rushed to stop her but was pushed away. The old woman wasn't very strong, but her age and a recent major illness made her frail.

Isabel didn’t dare use too much force and could only kneel on the floor beside her, pleading, “Please don’t do this… I can handle it…”

“You be quiet,” old Mrs. Blackwell snapped at her. “If you want a divorce, you’ll listen to me.”

Isabel had no choice but to shut up and lie on the floor with her.

Adrian pressed his tired eyes. There had been too much happening lately. Plus, he felt like the drug Edmund had released was taking a toll on his body. He was constantly feeling an abnormal fatigue.

Now, even his heart felt weary. “Grandma, if you insist on this, then I’ll have to be a disrespectful grandson.”
