Boss, Your Ex-Wife is Unreachable Now! novel Chapter 352

Having spent years flying fighter jets and early warning aircraft, Waller possessed an exceptionally analytical mind.

Since a single misjudgment in the cockpit could lead to catastrophic consequences, pilots were trained to maintain absolute composure and clarity at all times.

There was also another detail he hadn't shared with Willow yet.

The way Beasley looked at her was exactly how a man looks at a woman he desires.

Being a man himself, Waller had spotted it instantly.

If Beasley actually cared for Willow, why would he use such vicious methods to threaten and hurt her?

Waller felt conflicted. Looking at the current situation alongside everything Willow had endured in her past life, the narrative was riddled with contradictions. He just couldn't piece it all together yet.

"Waller, what's your take on this?"

Ryan suddenly asked, breaking his train of thought.

Waller looked up, his dark eyes sharp. He offered only one piece of advice: "Keep a close eye on Alistair's safety."

Earlier that afternoon at the bistro, Willow had briefed him on the contents of the files Beasley had handed her the night before.

Even though Ryan pointed out the lack of DNA confirmation between Alistair and Zoe, it was obvious their connection ran deep—blood or not. They wouldn't have kept in contact for years under such heavy secrecy otherwise.

Ryan nodded approvingly, a faint smile touching his lips. "Sharp as always. We're on the exact same page."

"I'll have plainclothes officers monitor and protect Alistair for a while. Let's see if we shake anything loose."

"Thanks for handling this, Ryan," Willow said.

Ryan gave a hearty laugh. "Like I said before, the guy you really need to be thanking is him."

With that, he shoved Waller forward. Caught off guard, Waller nearly crashed right into Willow.

Willow didn't flinch away. Instead, Waller managed to catch his footing at the last second, relying on his excellent core strength and balance to steady himself.

Once righted, Waller shot Ryan a withering glare.

Ryan wisely made a run for it. "I've gotta go clean up the mess Zoe left behind. You two are free to go. Call me if anything comes up!"

By the time he finished his sentence, the detective had already disappeared out the door.
