Bound By A Broken Night novel Chapter 182

Chapter 182

The statement drew thoughtful looks from the group.

“So you’re saying… CEO Wallace is the one closest to the chairman?” Mirriam asked, her eyes narrowing slightly as the implication settled in her mind.

“Yes,” Secretary Minerva replied with a small nod. “That’s what I’ve heard from ray superior.”

Roel’s lips slowly curled into a sneer as the realization dawned on him.

“Then that makes things even easier,” he muttered coldly.

His eyes drifted toward the two men walking among the powerful executives.

“Since CEO Wallace is the one being wronged in this scandal…” he continued, his voice low with malicious satisfaction, convincing the chairman about Ashton Pierce’s betrayal should be very simple.

Everyone slowly turned toward Roel Danes.

At first, their gazes were merely curious, trying to understand the meaning behind the calculating expression on his face. But as his implication settled in their minds, realization began to dawn one by one.

A few subtle chuckles escaped them.

The idea was simple.

If CEO Wallace truly had the closest connection to the mysterious chairman… and if Wallace himself was the supposed victim of Ashton Pierce’s betrayal, then influencing the chairman’s opinion might not be as difficult as they had first believed.

Roel’s lips curled slightly, satisfied that the others had finally grasped his line of thinking.

But before anyone could continue the discussion-

“Ladies and gentlemen,” a clear voice echoed through the grand hall, immediately drawing everyone’s attention. “Please welcome the executives of the different companies under the Malakai Group of Companies from across the world”

The announcement silenced the murmurs almost instantly.

All eyes turned toward the front of the venue as the distinguished entourage reached the stage.

From the large delegation, ten men stepped forward and ascended the platform. Among them stood CEO Walace- and beside him, his father, Jefferson Holt.

Their presence alone carried immense authority.

The other men joining them were equally imposing, each one representing a powerful branch of Malakat Group’s global suure

Secretary Minerva leaned slightly closer to Roel and the others, lowering his voice.

“Those are the only people who have direct interaction with the chairman,” he whispered

His eyes remained Exed on the stage, filled with unmistakable awe

“It’s actually my first time seeing them in person,” he added quietly

The secretary looked almost overwhelmed by the moment, clearly tascinated by the care gathering of Malokar civugo’s most influential figures.

CEO Zandrie Wsary stepped forward from the line of executives and was dumedinely handed a inngham by one on fle

Standing beneath the bright lights, Zandrie carried the calm authority of someone accustomed to commanding rooms filled with powerful people.

“As another territory has now been marked by Malakai Group,” he began, his voice resonating clearly throughout the vast hall, “tonight marks the beginning of a new chapter”

He paused briefly, allowing the significance of his words to settle among the guests.

“Bay City will become another home for the Malakai Group,” he continued.

“And like all of our other territories around the world,” he continued evenly, “the chairman has personally appointed an executive who will oversee operations here and report directly to her.”

A wave of murmurs swept through the venue.

If anyone noticed the subtle way he addressed the chairman, the detail was quickly swallowed by the growing excitement spreading across the hall.

Anticipation thickened in the air as guests exchanged knowing glances, their curiosity rising by the second.

Then, almost instinctively, countless eyes shifted in the same direction.

Toward one particular man standing among the distinguished delegation below the stage.

CEO Ashton Pierce.

He stood tall and composed among the other executives, his presence as commanding as any of them.

Zandrie Wallace lifted a leather folder he had been holding and glanced down at it briefly before looking back at the audience.

“This,” he said, raising it slightly, “is the official appointment signed by the chairman.”

The murmurs grew louder.

Roel Danes and the others watched with tightening expressions as Zandrie slowly opened the folder.

Then the CEO smiled.

“It is my honor to welcome a new executive into the Malakai Group of Companies,” he announced.

His gaze shifted toward Ashton.

“CEO Ashton Pierce.”

He extended his hand in invitation.

“Please join us on stage.”

Applause erupted instantly across the hall.

The sound was loud, celebratory, and proud especially from the guests who had come from Hay City, many of whom zaw Ashton’s rise as a defining moment for their city’s business world.

Ashton began walking toward the stage with calm confiders, the applause growing boiler with each step he took

But just as the celebration reached its prak

The applause faltered. Heads turned.

The festive atmosphere shattered almost instantly as the bold accusation echoed across the venue, drawing the stunned attention of every single guest in the room.
