Megan realized she’d overreacted.

She took a deep breath to compose herself.

“I just got a call from Hugh. He told me to get out of the apartment upstairs by tonight. Are you happy now?”

Bethan rubbed her temples in frustration.

It was like she’d tried to get something for nothing and ended up losing what she had.

Originally, Bethan planned to get Hugh and Megan into the same bed. Then she’d stir up a big fuss, team up with Megan, and use public opinion to force Hugh into a divorce.

Unexpectedly, things backfired. She ended up sleeping with Hugh, and there was now a rift between Megan and Hugh.
