Breaking Point of Divorce (Hugh and Bethan) novel Chapter 451

Chapter 451 You're Reaping What You Sow

Sarah casually snatched a tissue from the cashier counter and nonchalantly wiped her hands.

Then, with a haughty toss of her chin toward the two women beside her, she commanded, "Get some guys over here. Clear out all the valuable stuff in this place. And smash whatever can't be moved!"

Without hesitation, the two women started making calls to rally their men.

Meanwhile, Megan managed to struggle back to her feet from the floor.

Fuming, she pointed at Sarah and shrieked, "What gives you the right to ransack my store and take my things?"

Sarah, crossing her arms, sneered, "Because I'm legally married to Bradley. Every penny he spent on your aunt, that bitch Maria, is half mine!"

Megan was left speechless, her lips trembling with indignation.

Before long, a few burly men, each standing at least 6 feet tall, stormed into the store.

Just as Megan reached for her phone to call the police, Jessica swooped in and snatched it away.

Jessica was about to hurl the phone to the ground when Gwen rushed out from the side to stop her. "Hold your horses! There might be something useful in it for you," she advised.

Jessica instantly regained her composure. "You're absolutely right," she said, then stuffed Megan's phone into her handbag.

Gwen quickly scurried back behind the curtain.

Gently looping her arm through Gwen's, Bethan murmured, "Let's just watch. It's not our place to meddle in others' affairs. Karma has its own way."

In her past life, with Hugh's protection, Megan lived smoothly. Only when the truth came out did Hugh send her to prison himself.

In this life, without Hugh's shield, she had clearly hit rock bottom.

Megan, seeing her phone being taken, tried to rush forward to retrieve it. But Jessica's two aunts were quicker. They grabbed Maria by the hair and yanked her back.

With teary eyes, Megan pleaded, "Mrs. Field, Aunt Maria has been your friend for ages. How could you be so heartless?"

Sarah turned a deaf ear and snapped, "She was sneaking around with my husband behind my back. How do you think I should treat her?"

Megan, with a pout of grievance, shot back, "Mr. Field has fallen out of love with you. Even if it wasn't Aunt Maria, he'd find someone else. You should look at yourself instead of taking it out on the innocent."

Once Maria gave birth and married into the Field family, she'd make Sarah pay.

Just then, Elsie walked in for a beauty treatment.

Megan's eyes lit up with hope, and she rushed towards Elsie, begging, "Ms. Davis, please help me call the police. I've been beaten, and my store is being destroyed!"

Elsie stole a furtive glance at Sarah and then at Jessica.

Then, feigning ignorance, she said, "Sorry, who are you? I'm just here for a beauty session. I don't know you at all."

And then, with a nervous stutter, she added, "Look at the state of your store. It clearly won't be in business for long. Refund the money on my card right now, or I'll call the police for fraud!"

With that, Elsie made a hasty exit.

Megan stood there, stunned and shivering, all her former arrogance gone.

Bethan couldn't help but sigh inwardly.

In her past life, Megan and Elsie had colluded and used each other.

Who would have thought that in this life, they'd fall out so soon?

Before long, all the movable items in the store were taken away, and the rest were smashed to pieces.

"My husband's in the middle of a project with the Field Group. I'm gonna stop it right away."

At these words from the wealthy wives, Bradley's face turned ashen.

Sarah let out a disdainful snort and left with her daughter and sisters.

Bethan glanced at Megan and then pulled Gwen away quickly.

It seemed that the women of the Ridley family had a knack for coaxing men.

Looking at the almost-gutted beauty salon, Megan was both angry and anxious. "Mr. Field, what should I do now that the salon's destroyed?"

Bradley took out a bank card from his pocket and handed it to Megan. "Clean up quickly. I'll send you to Maria in a foreign country. Give this card to her. It'll be enough for you two to live on for a while."

Megan clutched the card tightly and nodded excitedly. "Mr. Field, Aunt Maria has sacrificed her reputation for you. Please don't let her down."

Nodding repeatedly, Bradley said, "Go and convince Maria to rest and focus on the baby. Once I sort things out here, I'll bring you both back."

Suddenly, Megan remembered, "Mr. Field, Ms. Field snatched my phone. It has chats between Aunt Maria and me, and also..."

Bradley frowned. "Get packed fast. I'll figure out the phone thing." With that, he left the beauty salon in a hurry.

Looking at the bank card in her hand, Megan smiled.

As long as Bradley was set on Maria and the baby, Maria was bound to rise in status through the child.

And then, she'd have a life of luxury.

Megan quickly tidied herself up and put on a mask.

Outside the salon, Bethan and Gwen were debating which store to visit next when they saw Megan, her hair in disarray and wearing a mask, come out.

Spotting them, Megan headed straight over. Bethan and Gwen exchanged a look.
