Chapter 153 Jungle Warfare

“What the hell?!”

“Why does she get a pass while we get pelted?!”

“Since when do monkeys have double standards? Is it because she’s hot?!”

His answer was a fist-sized rock that caught him right in the forehead.

Screech!!!

The battle exploded.

The Wolf King was powerful, but it couldn’t handle this many enemies at once!

The terrain here was cramped and filled with trunks, making it impossible for the massive beast to nove freely. Meanwhile, the apes were like shadows, leaping through the branches and scratching at the wolf’s eyes or throwing sand in its face.

WarWolf had it even worse.

They were already exhausted from the chase, and now they were drowning in a sea of guerrilla warfare.

“Gah! My bag! That damn monkey stole my potions!”

“My helmet! Give it back!”

“Help! This monkey just went for my kidneys!”

Screams echoed everywhere.

Riley hadn’t gone far.

She stood on a high branch in the safe zone, watching the chaos below with a cold smirk.

“Since you guys came all this way, don’t be in such a hurry to leave.”

She pulled a bundle of items from her Inventory.

It was a batch of bows and arrows she’d crafted from scrap materials.

They were basic gear with no stats, but in a brawl of this scale, ranged pressure was king.

“TartKing! Heads up!”

Riley shouted, tossing the bundle of bows and hundreds of arrows toward Tartking.

“Time for your monkey minions to give them a lesson in archery!”

TartKing scrambled to catch the weapons, her eyes lighting up.

The apes might not know how to craft weapons, but they were world-class mimics. Plus, their arm strength was insane-pulling these cheap wooden bows was child’s play for them.

“Alright boys! Gear up!”

Like a general rallying her troops, TartKing distributed the bows to the strongest elite apes and personally demonstrated how to shoot.

“Aim at the guys below! Fire!”

Screech!

The elite apes were incredibly sharp, copying her stance perfectly.

A second later.

Whiz! Whiz! Whiz!

The accuracy was terrible, but the sheer volume made up for it.

A literal rain of arrows poured down from the canopy.

The WarWolf members were too busy fighting off the apes on the ground to notice the threat from above.

“Are you kidding me?! These monkeys are literal snipers!”

“Archers! Who the hell taught them how to use bows?!”

WolfBlade looked at the crooked arrow sticking out of his shoulder and felt his soul leaving his body.

This was literal hell!

They had a crazy Wolf King in front, a monkey mob around them, and someone airlifting military-grade hardware to the enemy!

“Fall back! Get out of here!”

WolfBlade clutched his wound, trying to organize a retreat.

But the Wolf King, now seeing red, used a breath of fire to block their exit. The apes, thrilled with their new toys, treated the WarWolf players like moving target dummies.

Riley stood high above, casually taking a bite of toast and a long swig of water, finally getting a chance to rest.

“Finally, some peace and quiet.”

Deep in the grove, inside a massive hollowed-out tree.

The world outside was a warzone, but inside, it was a different story.

“You look beat, Boss! Try this!”

TartKing approached Riley like a loyal servant, offering a pastry that smelled heavenly.
