Not a single cent will fall into the hands of any evildoer.” Curtis announced the donation publicly, instead of leaving the money to Adriana.

He was protecting her.

“Mr. Lincoln, Mrs. Lincoln, please get in the car,” the assistant said as the vehicle pulled up to the curb. He and the bodyguards escorted Curtis and Adriana inside and drove off.

Curtis coughed hard and shot him a look.

Adriana narrowed her eyes and looked at Curtis threateningly.

When she’d first heard Curtis had been hit, she’d been so scared that she’d cried.

“No matter when or where, you have to trust me,” Curtis said softly. “Even if you hear news that I’m dead, don’t believe it. I’m not dying on you…”

Adriana felt it was bad luck to say such things. Her eyes reddened as she covered Curtis’s mouth.

She felt like Curtis was giving her a warning in advance.

Denton rode his bike into a small villa. The property belonged to the Lincolns. Harold had arranged for him to live here before.

But now, the ownership of this house should’ve transferred to Curtis.
