Chapter 324 Returned to the Lincoln Estate
Chapter 324 Returned to the Lincoln Estate
Adriana’s grandmother, Audrey Barton, was the real Barton heiress.
Jeremy had married into the Bartons, so every child used the Barton last name.
Time cannot defeat beauty. The old, faded photo made Adriana stop and stare for a long while.

Now she understood why Jeremy kept looking at her the first time they met and said, “You look the same. You really look the same.”
It turned out Adriana looked exactly like her grandmother.
At the Lincoln Estate.
When Adriana returned to the Lincoln Estate, she felt that everything was different.
Harold was gone, and the entire estate felt cold and empty.
Adriana stepped into the living room and saw Savannah there as well. Savannah was already acting as if the house belonged to her, behaving like the lady of the home and ordering the housekeeper around.
When she noticed Adriana come in, she did not even pretend to be polite. “Nora, get her a glass of water,” she said.
Savannah spoke in an easy tone, giving orders to the housekeeper.
Adriana quietly glanced at Nora. The original housekeeper at the Lincolns had been replaced. The housekeeper was someone new.
She had noticed it the moment she arrived–every servant and helper who used to work here had been replaced.
With no real master left–Curtis and Harold were both gone–and Denton still young, studying at school and getting ready to leave for Pastalia in the summer, this house was now under Ernest’s control.
No matter how arrogant Savannah was, she couldn’t replace the servants unless Ernest agreed.
Replacing all the old servants so quickly showed how careless Ernest was.
He probably never expected Adriana to come back and stay at the Lincoln Estate again.
“This place really looks like your home now,” Adriana said, sitting in the main seat and smiling coldly at Savannah. “Harold left all the property, except the company shares, to Curtis. Curtis has passed away. As his wife and only heir, this estate belongs to me.”
Savannah’s expression darkened. She wanted to act boldly, but the two bodyguards standing behind Adriana made her hesitate.
“Adriana, my dad has been the Lincolns‘ butler for many years. He has worked hard here for many years. I only came to see him. You’re thinking too much,” Savannah said, forcing herself to hold it in.

Adriana gave a small nod, her eyes moving over the furniture and decorations. “I remember Harold kept many antiques and valuable items here. They’re all listed in the family inventory. Do you know where your dad moved them?”
Savannah stiffened and was about to answer when Ernest rushed in.
“Adriana, I was busy taking care of the Lincolns‘ matters, Sorry for the delay. I’ll have the kitchen start cooking right away. Let’s cat together tonight,” Ernest said quickly, still acting like a kind elder.
His acting was truly impressive.
“Ernest, you’re the Lincolns‘ butler, that’s even better. Let’s count everything in the house,” Adriana said as she looked at him. “You know I’m also leaving for Pastalia. The property Curtis left me, along with my own money, has all been invested in Ainsworth Group. I don’t have much cash now. Help me sort through the antiques, paintings, and decorations in this house. I’ll have someone take them to auction.”
Ernest’s expression changed for a moment, but he quickly stayed calm. “Adriana, these things hold Mr. Harold’s memories. He gave clear orders that nothing in the house should be sold. Everything was meant to be passed down to the next generation.”
Adriana looked at him for a long time. Passing them down? What a joke. He clearly wants to keep everything for himself.
Adriana said calmly, “Ernest, I feel bad about this too. That’s why I went to the cemetery first and talked to Harold. I don’t have much money right now, but I am carrying the Lincolns‘ child. These items are meant for the next generation, and I need to make sure that child can live well.” She stood up and placed one hand on her stomach.
Ernest’s expression turned dark and tense.
Savannah snapped. “So you’re in a hurry to turn everything into money? Don’t forget Denton gets his part
too!”
Adriana looked straight at her. “The will is very clear. The entire estate was given to Curtis. Do you want me to bring in a lawyer to explain it to you?”
Savannah bit her lip and fell silent.
Adriana then faced Ernest again. “Ernest, the Lincolns‘ matters are almost settled. I plan to sell this house as well. I’ll give you a good retirement payment to thank you for all your years of work here. After that, please stay home and enjoy your retirement.”
She was clearly telling Ernest to leave.
Ernest’s face went completely dark. He was just about to drop his polite act.
“Adriana, I heard you returned to Harborton and came to the Lincoln Estate, so I rushed over. Perfect timing. Let’s have dinner together tonight,” a voice said from the door. Justin walked in, smiling at Adriana.
He was there to smooth things over. Curtis had sent him.

Adriana was smart. She had already noticed something was wrong with Ernest. Curtis knew Ernest could be cruel, and he worried that if Adriana pushed him too far, Ernest might hurt her.
When Ernest saw Justin arrive, his expression changed at once. He put his polite mask back on, smiled, and said, “Mr. Justin is here.”
