Can’t Win Me Back novel (Alyssa and Jasper) novel Chapter 2529

Home…

This unfamiliar yet welcoming word left a deep imprint on Remy's pounding, fragile heart, sending sorrow and warmth surging through his chest at the same time. After a moment of silence, he spoke, not even noticing the faint tremble in his chapped lips.

"Thank you, Jasper."

Amber was rushed to the Taylor family's hospital for emergency treatment. Her life now hung in the balance.

Meanwhile, Axel stood outside the emergency room, stiff as a board. From behind, his upright figure resembled a desolate, timeless statue.

"Amber… my dearest…"

Axel's bloodshot eyes filled with tears. Slowly, the tall man sank to the ground—first to one knee, then the other. Pressing his palms together, he muttered, "You have always been so resilient. You have to hang in there. I beg you… Don't leave me here on my own…

"If there really is a God, I'm willing to give up the rest of my years in exchange for my darling Amber's health and safety from now on."

He had once been a cold realist, a titan who believed he alone ruled over his own life. Yet now, for Amber's sake, he fell to his knees to plead with God, all so she could overcome this ordeal.

Liam was about to step forward to help Axel up when Silas stopped him. Silas let out a helpless, sympathetic sigh. "Forget it. Just leave him be. Right now, there's nothing else we can do but pray for Amber."

Liam felt deeply unsettled. He had stayed by Axel's side the whole time to keep an eye on him. After what happened to Amber, the first thing Axel wanted to do was take revenge on Justin and Sheryl.

In fact, judging by his temperament, he might even blow the Beckett Group up. So Liam had to watch him carefully, in case he harmed himself because of his impulses.

Jasper stood silently in a corner, giving Alyssa and Remy space to reunite. He stayed out of their way, yet his presence in the room was unmistakable.

Jonah stepped forward slowly and tapped Remy on the shoulder. With tears in his eyes, he said, "Even if you haven't recovered all your memories, just know that we've never forgotten you, Damien. Not for a single moment.

"Mandy, especially, has always believed that you're still alive. She always said her son, Damien, was still out there… And now, you've finally come home."

Remy's chest rose and fell violently. In an instant, the images flashing through his mind were from the horrifying scene of Mandy's car crashing through the railing and plunging down the mountain.

The next second, a searing headache shot through his head. A pained groan escaped his throat as he clutched his head with both hands and dropped to one knee.

"Damien!"
