Caught Him Cheating My Life Restarted (Natalie) novel Chapter 213

Victoria’s eyes fell on the Birkin bag next to Mrs. Lockwood. It was the same one she’d seen yesterday but couldn’t afford because she didn’t have enough on her card. She had come back specifically to buy it today.

How dare a gold digger like this even look at it!

Victoria said sarcastically, “Natalie, you and your gold-digging friend are actually looking at this bag. Do you have any idea how much it costs? It’s worth two million dollars. If you so much as scratch it, you won’t be able to afford the damages.”

Mrs. Lockwood had noticed the longing in Victoria’s eyes when she looked at the bag.

She didn’t own it, but she knew the price.

Mrs. Lockwood smiled knowingly. “You know how much this bag costs? Is it because you can’t afford it, so you just dream about it?”

“You…”

Victoria was seething.

“You’re the ones who can’t afford it. I came here today to get this bag.”

“Then you’re too late. This bag belongs to Natalie now.”

“What a joke. You gold diggers sure can talk big. Do you really think Terence Lockwood would buy a two-million-dollar bag for Natalie? Don’t make me laugh. She’s just a little canary he’s keeping for fun. He’d never spend that kind of money on her. And don’t you think you can get a piece of the action just by sticking with Natalie. A girl needs to have some decency!”

As Victoria spewed her insults, Mrs. Lockwood calmly retorted, “You’re just jealous of Natalie. Jealous that she dumped your useless son and found someone better.”

The jab hit its mark, cutting through Victoria’s bluster.

“You gold digger, what did you say?”

Mrs. Lockwood grinned. “Terence Lockwood, the CEO of the Lockwood Group, is simply more capable than your son.”

She was so proud of her boy.

Victoria’s face was practically purple with rage. Just then, Marie arrived.

Victoria had called her, complaining that the luxury store had refused her entry and demanding she come handle it.

Mrs. Lockwood cut her off directly.

“You are what? You’d better think before you speak. She has no connection to you anymore. Don’t get too used to putting on airs.”

Furious, Victoria turned to Marie.

“I wouldn’t want to be associated with Natalie anyway. Having Marie as my daughter-in-law is more than enough for me.”

Then, Victoria deliberately said, “Marie, I saw that Birkin bag yesterday. Have them wrap it up for me.”

Marie was speechless. That was a brand-new Birkin, listed at two million dollars. How could Victoria have the nerve to ask her to buy it?

Still, spending two million to slap Natalie in the face was tempting.

Besides, after Victoria was gone, the bag would be hers anyway. It was like getting to humiliate Natalie for free.

Marie forced a smile. “Of course, Mom. I’m your daughter-in-law. If you like it, I have to buy it for you.”
