“Clear the air? How do you plan on doing that? Setting aside your relationship with Marie, for the five years Natalie was with the Cross family, you let your mother and Marie treat her like a maid. Darren fell silent. Terence’s gaze was icy as he continued, “It’s my fault. I’ve let you have too much free time, so much that you have the energy to orchestrate these deceptive little shows.”

Darren hung up and stared at Terence, his eyes cold. “Mr. Lockwood, you’re going after my company again. That’s a low blow.”

“So you’re just going to ruin me completely?”

Darren was grinding his teeth in frustration. He turned to Natalie. “Do you want to see the Cross Group go bankrupt too?”

Natalie replied calmly, “I don’t have the power to bankrupt the Cross Group. You should hurry back and deal with your company’s crisis. After all, the Cross Group is your concern, not mine.”
