Darren didn't answer. Instead, he snapped, "Go home. There's nothing for you to do here!"
Darren's shout frightened Hanley.
Marie quickly took Hanley's hand. "Hanley, you go home with Helena for now. Your grandma is paralyzed, and she'll be very emotional when she wakes up. We don't want you to get scared. Go home now."
Marie's voice was gentle, but Hanley, having witnessed her ferocity before, was still scared of her kindness.
"I want to stay and comfort Grandma!"
Darren was extremely agitated. "Go home now! Don't get in the way!"
Hanley finally left with the servant. Marie said to Darren, "It's not the child's fault. Why are you so harsh with him? You'll scare him."
Darren didn't respond. His mother had been moved to a regular room, and he was going to see her.
Marie watched Darren's angry, resentful expression and felt a surge of delight. The angrier and more resentful he was, the better. It would only deepen his hatred for Natalie.
That old hag was lucky to be alive. Why didn't she just kick the bucket? Then Darren would have hated Natalie for the rest of his life.

In the hospital room.
Victoria woke up to find she couldn't control her body. Saliva was constantly drooling from her mouth, and she couldn't even wipe it away.
It was a terrifying sensation she had almost forgotten. How had she suddenly returned to her state from five years ago, back to when she was paralyzed?
Victoria broke down, wailing uncontrollably. She thrashed her body against the bedside table, making guttural sounds.
"Mom, what are you doing?"
Seeing Marie's disgusted look, Victoria felt a searing pain in her heart.
This woman... if it wasn't for her insufferable arrogance.
If she hadn't insulted the family elders, the relatives from back home would never have come and smashed their plaque and disowned them!
If none of that had happened, she wouldn't have suffered such a shock. She wouldn't be paralyzed!
"You... you... you..."
Victoria pointed at Marie. She knew Victoria had nothing good to say to her right now, so she had to get Darren out of the room.
"Darren, look, Mom has soiled herself. You should step out while we get her cleaned up."

The readers' comments on the novel: Caught Him Cheating My Life Restarted (Natalie)
Time for Marie to get her end, this has gone on way too long, time to move on. It’s getting boring....
Payback time. Waiting for chapters 321 onwards!...
I love the sarcastic comebacks. Quite amusing!...
