Now, all the reporters were looking at Natalie with expressions of disgust and blame.
Natalie ignored their glares and stared intently at Hanley.
Could he really remain unmoved while his own mother was being slandered and accused by his grandmother in front of so many people?
Victoria grew more animated. “Natalie, you should think about it. If the Lockwood family can’t accept your son, it’s obvious they have issues with your past. What good will come of you staying with them? Stop daydreaming about becoming the lady of the Lockwood family!”
Hanley didn’t dare to look Natalie in the eye, and she no longer held any hope for him.
Natalie’s eyes turned cold. “Victoria, shut your mouth!”
Victoria was stunned. She couldn’t believe Natalie would dare to tell her to shut up in front of so many people.
Natalie sized up Hanley and said, “Victoria, you’re the one who told my son to wrap his arms and legs like this, aren’t you? You two are really going all out to save Marie.”
“Hanley is injured. Should he not have his wounds bandaged? Or should he leave them exposed? You’re just afraid that the more serious his injuries look, the worse it will be for Terence.”
“You know perfectly well whether he’s injured or not,” Natalie said, turning her gaze back to Hanley. “And he knows perfectly well how he fell!”
Natalie’s stare was piercing, and Hanley looked terrified.
At that moment, the reporters turned to Hanley. “Young man, did Terence really push you?”
“You look heavily bandaged. Your injuries must be severe. What did the doctor say?”
“With injuries like these, has Terence or anyone from the Lockwood family come to see you?”
“How did you get hurt? Was it really Terence who pushed you? Was anyone else there? Was your mother present at the time?”
Hanley’s voice was quiet, but it was loud enough for everyone to hear clearly.
The reporters’ anger instantly ignited.
“How despicable! Pushing a five-year-old child off a balcony! Is he even human?”
“So what if they’re the top-tier Lockwood family? If they don’t act like human beings, they should be condemned by everyone!”
“The child himself said Terence pushed him, and as his mother, Natalie doesn’t even believe her own son. It’s clear she’s protecting Terence.”
“If Terence was the one who pushed the boy, why is Natalie protecting him? Is it really like Victoria said? Does she want to marry into the Lockwood family that badly?”
“But that’s her own son! Her child was almost killed, and she’s still thinking about marrying the man who hurt him? Isn’t that going too far?”

Time for Marie to get her end, this has gone on way too long, time to move on. It’s getting boring....
Payback time. Waiting for chapters 321 onwards!...
I love the sarcastic comebacks. Quite amusing!...
