Caught Him Cheating My Life Restarted (Natalie) novel Chapter 482

Natalie was already working at the research institute, and it kept her busy. If it weren’t for his treatments, she wouldn’t be coming back to the Lockwood estate every day. If she stopped coming, they would see each other less and less.

Terence knew it was selfish, but he really didn’t want to let her go.

Seeing Terence nod, Natalie’s brows furrowed tightly. His legs should have regained feeling by now. With some physical therapy, he would have been able to walk again soon. Why was it taking so long for the sensation to return? Was there a problem with her prescription? Or was something wrong with the medicinal herbs?

“This shouldn’t be happening. You should have some feeling in your legs by now. Is it my formula or the ingredients?”

Seeing Natalie’s distress, Terence said, “You don’t have to be so anxious. My legs have been useless for a long time; a little longer won’t matter. Take your time with the treatment. Don’t put so much pressure on yourself.”

Natalie knew Terence was just trying to comfort her. She hadn’t managed to heal his legs, yet here he was, consoling her. Her brow wrinkled in frustration. Terence had no feeling in his legs, and Liana still couldn’t speak.

After a whole course of treatment, neither of them had improved. When had her medical skills become so pathetic? Natalie felt a deep sense of failure. Where had she gone wrong?

“You still can’t walk, and Liana can’t talk. What went wrong? Is it really that my skills aren’t good enough? Maybe you should find another doctor. I don’t want to hold up your recovery.”

An idea suddenly struck Terence. He quickly reassured Natalie, “Healing… these things can’t be rushed. Neither of us is in a hurry. Just take your time.”

Natalie looked at Terence. Something felt off, but she couldn’t put her finger on it. “Alright, then. I’ll go check on the matriarch.”

“Mother, there’s something I must discuss with you.” Mrs. Lockwood was reluctant to bring it up, but the butler had pressed her about it again today. She knew the situation was tricky and couldn’t make the decision herself, so she had to ask the matriarch.

“What is it?” Grace Lockwood still sounded weak.

Mrs. Lockwood said, “Mother, tomorrow is the fiftieth anniversary of Father-in-law’s death. We always hold a memorial service. Should we still hold it this year?”

The butler, unaware of the situation, kept pressing her for an answer, but Mrs. Lockwood didn’t know how to explain it to him. Her father-in-law, who had been dead for fifty years, was supposedly not dead at all! But since they hadn’t seen him in person, should they hold the memorial or not? She didn’t dare make the call.

Hearing Mrs. Lockwood’s words, a sharp light instantly returned to Grace Lockwood’s eyes. She stared at Mrs. Lockwood, who grew flustered under her gaze.
