Caught Him Cheating My Life Restarted (Natalie) novel Chapter 523

“He gave them to you,” Natalie said flatly.

“Only because you didn’t want them. It would be a waste.”

“I don’t want them, period.”

Mrs. Lockwood quickly took the bouquet from her son.

“I’ll take care of these. It’s a gift from a child’s heart, after all.”

She placed the flowers on the table next to the hospital bed.

“This is a nice spot.”

Just as she finished arranging the vase, she saw Mr. Ward’s finger twitch.

She shouted excitedly, “Mr. Ward’s finger moved! His finger moved!”

Natalie and Terence rushed over to the bed.

“I’ll notify his parents.”

Just as Terence was about to call them, Mr. and Mrs. Ward arrived.

They saw their son’s finger moving and hurried to his side.

“Son! Son, please wake up. It’s Mom.”

“Son, it’s Dad. Please, wake up.”

As his parents called out to him, Marcus Ward struggled to open his eyes. He saw his mother and father standing over him.

“Dad… Mom…”

The moment Marcus opened his eyes, Elaine Ward burst into tears, gripping his hand tightly. “My son, you’re finally awake! It’s been over a year… you’re finally awake!”

“Mom… am I… am I still alive?”

Richard took Marcus’s other hand. “You’re alive, son. Of course you’re alive.”

Richard never thought he would hear his son call him ‘Dad’ again. Every doctor had told them Marcus would never wake up.

“What are you doing? He just woke up!” Richard protested.

But his words were cut off by Elaine’s panicked voice.

“Son? Son, what’s wrong? What’s happening to you?”

Marcus Ward, who had seemed to be recovering, suddenly turned purple, clearly struggling to breathe.

“Natalie, please, come look at my son! He can’t breathe!”

Marcus’s face was turning a deep shade of purple. Natalie rushed to his side to examine him.

As Natalie worked to save him, Elaine cried out from the side.

“Son, what’s happening? Did I make you remember something painful? Stop thinking about it! Don’t think about it!”

Elaine was heartbroken. Her son had just woken up, everything seemed fine.

How could one question have caused this?
