"Of course, helping Grandma is the most important thing!"
Simon affectionately linked his arm with Grace Lockwood's. "Grandma, I will definitely help you with your recovery. After all, I'm your favorite grandson. Nothing is more important than you."
The old woman's condition was unstable. He had to keep her on his side for now if he wanted a chance at the president's position.
So, no matter how reluctant he was, Simon had to agree.
Mrs. Lockwood and the others found Simon's reaction ridiculous.
Natalie said, "Well, we appreciate your efforts. Take good care of Old Mrs. Lockwood's recovery. We have other matters to attend to, so we'll be leaving now."
As he watched everyone leave, abandoning him to do puzzles and therapy with the old woman, Simon was about to explode with rage.
Natalie had set him up. He was always the one setting traps for others; he'd never been on the receiving end before.
Just you wait, Natalie!

"Natalie, you were brilliant! I almost died laughing when I saw the look on Simon's face!"
Mrs. Lockwood had been fuming because of Simon and Edgar Lockwood, but Natalie had helped her get some satisfying payback.
"This will keep Simon quiet for a while, but I doubt he'll stay put for long. What he wants is the presidency of the Lockwood Group. Who knows what other despicable methods he'll use."
"How could we ever give him that position? It's what the old lady worked her whole life to build. If we weren't worried about hurting her again and again, he'd know we're not afraid of him."
They could just tell the old woman that Edgar Lockwood had abandoned her and was now back with his mistress's family to steal her fortune, but they felt it was too cruel.
She was an old woman with Alzheimer's. Forcing her to relive that pain repeatedly was unthinkable.
"With her Alzheimer's, telling her the truth is like inflicting a new wound every time. She has to experience the original pain all over again, as if for the first time."

At the Ward residence.
When Elaine Ward saw Natalie and Terence, she became agitated. "What are you doing here again? You're not welcome in the Ward family's home."
Natalie noticed Elaine's hand; her finger was bandaged.
It looked like she had cut it. "Your hand is injured?" Natalie asked.
Elaine scoffed at Natalie's concern. "I don't need your fake sympathy. Save your crocodile tears."
For the past few days, Elaine had been at home, cooking her son's favorite meals. It was the only thing that brought her any comfort.
"Natalie, this is all your fault! My son... I was a fool to ever believe you could wake him up. Natalie, why don't you just die? You cause so much harm, why don't you just die?"

Time for Marie to get her end, this has gone on way too long, time to move on. It’s getting boring....
Payback time. Waiting for chapters 321 onwards!...
I love the sarcastic comebacks. Quite amusing!...
