Natalie said calmly, “You're the one who called her 'Mom' for over twenty years, not me. You have the nerve to kill the woman who raised you for two decades, so why would I care? Hearing this, Elaine's heart ached with sorrow. She recalled all the cruel things she had done to Natalie. Every harsh word she had ever said now felt like a knife, slowly carving up her heart.

Marie suddenly burst into loud laughter. “Did you hear that, Mother? This is your precious biological daughter! She's telling me to kill you! She said even if you died right in front of her, it wouldn't be enough to threaten her. Is this the daughter you were so desperate to find?”
