Angela had heard the rumors about Natalie and Terence.
She had assumed this Natalie was some formidable rival, but it turned out she was just coasting on her looks—nothing more than a stand-in.
But she really did look like her?
Angela's words made Natalie's brow furrow in discomfort.
What made her even more uncomfortable was the realization that the sense of familiarity she’d felt earlier was because, upon closer inspection, they did share a resemblance.
They really did look alike.
Terence’s eyes turned cold. “Angela, watch your mouth. Don’t talk nonsense!”
Angela hadn’t expected Terence to speak to her so sharply. “Terence, why are you being so harsh with me?” she asked, aggrieved.
Terence ignored her and turned to Natalie. “My leg is acting up. Let’s go inside so you can give me my treatment.”
Natalie paused for a second before starting to wheel Terence inside.
Angela tried to block their path but was held back by Mrs. Lockwood.
“Angela, dear, Natalie is handling Terence’s treatment now. It’s best not to disturb them.”
“What kind of medical skill could a woman like that possibly have? I went to great lengths to contact the legendary Dr. Rhodes. He’ll be here to treat Terence soon. I’m sure Dr. Rhodes will be able to cure Terence’s leg.”
Dr. Rhodes, a titan in the medical field, had been retired for years and was a mysterious figure who traveled the world.
“You managed to find Dr. Rhodes? You really do care so much for Terence. You truly are a devoted friend to him.”
“Mrs. Lockwood, you know I don’t want to be just his friend.”
“And you know he only sees you as a sister.”
Simon was seething, but Edgar Lockwood said, “Patience. A proud woman like that is the only kind worthy of the Lockwood family!”
Although Angela had been rude, leaving without even saying goodbye to him, Edgar believed their family needed a noble, proud princess like her—not a divorced single mother like Natalie.
Mrs. Lockwood found this laughable. Angela had always been arrogant, looking down on everyone.
And Edgar was actually pleased with this trait?
Natalie was so sweet and obedient, yet he disliked her. Was he trying to be a rebel in his old age?
Well, he could have his rebellion. The rest of them much preferred Natalie.
Still, she couldn’t resist bursting their bubble.
“If you’re hoping Angela will marry Simon, you’re dreaming. You don’t know Angela at all. I suggest you get to know her better, so you can give up on that idea sooner rather than later.”

Marie needs to be gone, she has caused enough trouble for Natalie. This is getting boring!...
This fiasco needs to end. Natalie and Terrance need to be together and in my mind somehow those twins are Natalie’s....
Time for Marie to get her end, this has gone on way too long, time to move on. It’s getting boring....
