Caught Him Cheating My Life Restarted (Natalie) novel Chapter 695

Marie was terrified. She panicked.

In a small, frantic voice, she said, “I’m sorry, I was wrong. I shouldn’t have acted on my own without your permission today. I know I was wrong. I’ll listen to you from now on. I won’t do anything without your order.”

Marie’s apology did nothing to quell the mysterious man’s fury.

“Your reckless action will not only get you killed, but it also cost me a loyal mercenary. Do you have any idea how valuable a loyal mercenary is? I assigned him to protect you, and you ordered him to assassinate Natalie. You are an absolute fool! Luckily, Natalie is fine. If she had actually died, I doubt you would have lived to see tomorrow, and you would have dragged me down with you!”

The mysterious man berated her relentlessly. Marie’s face was a mask of humiliation. It was all Natalie’s fault that she was being yelled at like this.

Though furious, Marie didn’t dare say a word in protest. Right now, this mysterious man was her only refuge.

Marie put on a pitiful, damsel-in-distress act. “I’m sorry, I know I was wrong. I won’t be so foolish again. From now on, I’ll do whatever you say.”

Marie tried to use her eyes to seduce the man. Though she didn't know his true identity, she couldn't afford to lose his protection. If she became his woman, he wouldn’t just stand by and watch Terence’s men capture her.

“Sir, I was wrong. Please forgive me. I’ll do anything you want, just don't let them take me.”

Her eyes were sultry and inviting. Although the man's face was hidden, when his deep, dark eyes met hers, Marie felt herself freeze.

He… why was he looking at her like that? She was clearly flirting with him, practically offering herself to him.

“It’s good that you know to obey. You should understand that besides me, no one else in this world can save you now.”

Marie nodded silently. She was well aware of her situation. She had assumed this man was captivated by her charms, but it turned out that wasn’t the case at all. He had saved her for his own purposes.

Just then, the man tossed a photograph at Marie. His voice was cold as he said, “You will get plastic surgery to look like her. It has to be a perfect match!”

When Marie heard that she had to get surgery to look like someone else, her immediate reaction was one of resistance.

She was herself. Why should she go under the knife a thousand times to become someone else?
