When Lucas saw Natalie had returned, he asked in confusion, "Natalie, why are you back? It's really dusty in here, you shouldn't come in."
"I went to buy masks." Natalie handed masks to Lucas and Liana. That was why she had left earlier.
In that instant, the disappointment Terence had felt was completely washed away.
"You all should go outside. I can handle this myself."
Natalie wanted Lucas, Liana, and Terence to go out while she cleaned up, but Lucas spoke up. "We can't do that, Natalie. You're not our maid or a cleaning lady. How can you clean all by yourself?"
Liana nodded vigorously. "That's right. We can't let Natalie work so hard."
Terence said, "Why don't you all go outside? I'll stay and clean."
"Forget it. Let's not argue about it. Let's just all clean together. If we keep going back and forth, we won't have a place to sleep tonight."
"Okay, let's clean together."
And so, the two adults and two children happily began cleaning the house. Although it was tiring, the four of them felt a sense of joy and fulfillment. Even though the place was simple and a bit run-down, it felt like they were building their own home.
After working hard for a while, the four of them had cleaned the entire house, inside and out, by morning.
"It actually looks quite nice now that it's clean."
"Yeah, yeah! And we can use that empty space out front to plant flowers. What kind of flowers do you like, Natalie?"
Natalie said, "I'd like to plant some herbs."
"You want to plant herbs?"
Natalie replied, "That's right. Your daddy's leg and Liana's condition still aren't cured. I'm not sure if it's because people use too many chemicals and artificial methods these days, but I think I'd rather grow my own herbs."
"The stove isn't working yet, so I'll order some takeout for you guys."
As they were eating dinner, they heard a noise at the door.
Darren walked in, his eyes fixing on Natalie with a sneer. "Are you really going to suffer with them in this dump? It looks like the roof will cave in the next time it rains. And look at this food—I wouldn’t even feed this slop to a dog. Natalie, just come with me."
"Darren, if you think this place is a wreck, please leave. We're not entertaining guests right now."
"Natalie, you know I'm just concerned about you. Didn't we clear up our misunderstanding? Why are you being like this?"
"Darren, even if nothing happened between you and Marie, that doesn't change the fact that you hurt me for her sake countless times over the years. Even if you didn't cheat, we're already divorced. We can't go back to the way things were."
When Darren heard at the hospital that Terence had actually given up his position as CEO of the Lockwood Group for Natalie, he was utterly shocked.
As soon as he learned they had been forced to move to a small house in the suburbs, he rushed over. Seeing Natalie in this dilapidated house with Terence and the children made him furious.

I think Terence must know something isn't right about Angela, that's why he agreed to figure it out....
Marie needs to be gone, she has caused enough trouble for Natalie. This is getting boring!...
This fiasco needs to end. Natalie and Terrance need to be together and in my mind somehow those twins are Natalie’s....
Time for Marie to get her end, this has gone on way too long, time to move on. It’s getting boring....
Payback time. Waiting for chapters 321 onwards!...
