Natalie said impatiently, “Accidentally? He did it on purpose. If you’re going to apologize, don't make it an empty gesture.”
Darren was about to explode. He had brought them here to be humiliated, not to apologize to them.
But for the sake of the bigger picture, he held his tongue.
“I’m sorry, kids. My son was being mischievous. I will discipline him more strictly in the future.”
Natalie looked at Hanley. “Your father has apologized. Aren’t you going to apologize too?”
Hanley had no desire to apologize to them, but under his father’s threatening glare, he reluctantly said, “I’m sorry. I was being reckless. I’ll be more careful next time.”
Natalie said, “That’s a more sincere attitude. Lucas, Liana, do you forgive him?”
Lucas replied, “I’m sure he’ll remember this lesson.”
“Then let’s go.”
Natalie left with Lucas and Liana. Darren was livid. Today was supposed to be the Cross Group’s big day, a day for him to stand tall in front of Natalie and make her regret leaving him.
Instead, he felt like a dog with its tail between its legs.
Angela commented from the side, “Natalie really knows how to put on an act. Your Cross Group is about to make a huge comeback, and she’s showing zero interest in you.”
“You’re a man, right? Do you have any good qualities? Maybe you’re just bad in bed and have a terrible temper!”
Darren glared at Angela. If she weren’t his business partner, he would have thrown her out long ago.
“Why are you looking at me like that? I’m just telling the truth.”

“Natalie, I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have hit him that hard.”
Natalie felt an indescribable emotion.
Back in the Cross family home, Victoria, Marie, and Darren were all there, but they always waited for her to cook.
Yet here was Terence, the president of the Lockwood Group who was born with a silver spoon, cooking a feast for them.
“Does it not look good?” Terence asked, a hint of worry in his voice.
Natalie quickly explained, “No, not at all! Your cooking is amazing. So good I’m a little shocked.”
Seeing Terence’s culinary skills, Natalie was genuinely stunned.
Honey-glazed ribs, pan-seared sea bass with peppers, black pepper steak, creamy garlic mashed potatoes, and roasted balsamic Brussels sprouts.
Though they were simple home-style dishes, each one looked incredibly appetizing, radiating a warmth that Natalie hadn't felt in years

I think Terence must know something isn't right about Angela, that's why he agreed to figure it out....
Marie needs to be gone, she has caused enough trouble for Natalie. This is getting boring!...
This fiasco needs to end. Natalie and Terrance need to be together and in my mind somehow those twins are Natalie’s....
Time for Marie to get her end, this has gone on way too long, time to move on. It’s getting boring....
Payback time. Waiting for chapters 321 onwards!...
I love the sarcastic comebacks. Quite amusing!...
