“How is it not Darren’s fault? That damn jinx must have done something to piss off the CEO of the Aurelius Dominion Group. Their people said it was because we invested in the Cross Group. They think my judgment is clouded and that I’m useless, so they don’t want to work with us anymore!
“We were dragged down by Darren, and you’re still pleading for him!”
“How can that be? There must be a misunderstanding. Dad, you can’t pull the funding. Please, give Darren a chance to survive!”
Callum was so angry he almost slapped Angela.
Darren, who had been waiting at the door for Angela to introduce him to Callum, immediately rushed in.
“Don’t you dare touch her!”
Darren moved to stand in front of Angela, shielding her.
“I’m disciplining my own daughter. What right does an outsider like you have to interfere?”
Callum was filled with regret. He never should have listened to his daughter and invested a staggering amount into the Cross Group.
He knew his daughter was obsessed with Terence, but the man had never even looked her way.
That had been one thing, but for Terence to reject his daughter only to choose a divorced woman with children was a profound humiliation for the Everhart Group.
“There must be a misunderstanding. I’ve never even met anyone from the Aurelius Dominion Group, so how could I have offended its leader? It has to be a mistake.”
“A misunderstanding? Who cares about a misunderstanding? To them, you’re nothing but an ant. They can crush you whenever they want without a second thought. Don’t talk to me about misunderstandings.
“I’m telling you, don’t drag the Everhart Group down with you. I’m pulling our investment immediately. If your Cross Group wants to die, don’t take us with you.”
“Dad, you can’t do this,” Angela pleaded. “Darren honestly doesn’t know how he offended them. I’ve been overseeing the project site this whole time, and he’s been completely focused on work. He hasn’t met with any outsiders. How could he have possibly offended someone from Aurelius Dominion? There must be a misunderstanding. Dad, you have connections with their leader. Please, just put in a good word for him.”
Callum felt like he was going to explode. What had he done to deserve this?

I think Terence must know something isn't right about Angela, that's why he agreed to figure it out....
Marie needs to be gone, she has caused enough trouble for Natalie. This is getting boring!...
This fiasco needs to end. Natalie and Terrance need to be together and in my mind somehow those twins are Natalie’s....
Time for Marie to get her end, this has gone on way too long, time to move on. It’s getting boring....
Payback time. Waiting for chapters 321 onwards!...
I love the sarcastic comebacks. Quite amusing!...
