Chosen Just To Be Rejected by Jennifer Francis novel Chapter 132

Parker

They were driving into Oklahoma City for their day of shopping. Whit had come back without Milly though, and so it was just the two of them. She’d not wanted to go without her mother. He didn’t push it, but told Whit that next time they’d all go as a family, his son had stared at him and Parker had smiled at him. “Your mother and I are getting along just fine.” He’d smiled to himself and knew it was more than just a little

smile.

He couldn’t keep in how happy he was about knowing they were Goddess-Gifted Mates to each other. Every minute of every day now was just one more minute closer to the full moon setting and them being fully realised to each other. She’d scent him out, and he’d get all the sparks of their Mate Bond.

Whit knew his mother wouldn’t leave the pack, not with being concerned about Bridgit. She’d told him before of what Freya had told her about staying inside the pack, and seemed okay with that. “Whit can you help me pick out something nice for your mother, from me to her. I’m not sure what to get her.”

“Sure,” Whit had nodded. “Are we getting Milly stuff too?”

“Yes, I’ve got some ideas for your little sister, but you’ll be able to pick out lots of stuff for her too, anything you think she would like.”

“She said she wants a new dolly,” Whit told him.

“Then a new doll she will have. Do you know her favourite colour?”

“Pink and yellow,” Whit told him, “She’s right into the doll and pram phase pretending to be a mummy.”

“Ah, I think we can sort something out for her then. What do you want, son?”

“I don’t know, I need more clothes mostly, everything else is in the packhouse gaming rooms.”

“Well, Whit. If you see something you want, just point it out, and we’ll get it. Whatever you want, there is no limit to shopping today.” He smiled at his boy sitting in the seat next to him.

His first ever father and son trip. It might just be shopping today, but that would eventuate into other things. “You are alright with this, aren’t you Whit? Just you and I hanging out?” Parker asked him.

“Yep.” Whit nodded.

“Good, I thought you were but thought I’d better ask. I’m not the best at asking what others want, kind of just presume I’m right,” he sighed. “I will get better at asking things as we grow as a family.” And that was

his intention.

“You’re not doing too badly as a dad, you know. I know you want to be one, and I see you with Milly too, mum as well. Just keep working on her. She’ll come around, I’m sure she sees what I see.”

“How do you like the pack?” Parker asked.

“H’s big and there are lots of things to do, though this is only what… one of six parts of it?”

“Mm it is.” Parker stated “I’ll take you to the others and introduce you to them all once you’re a pack member and officially the heir… On that note, I’d like to have you measured for a formal pack suit, if of course you don’t mind? Would you let me do that?” Parker asked.

Whit turned and looked at him. “Did mum agree to that?” he asked right back.

“Hmm, that’s a bit more complicated, but I don’t think she’ll say no,” Parker stated, and he didn’t.

“Why not? What’s going on?” Whit asked him now. “I know things are different, just…” Whit trailed off. “I don’t know exactly why?”

Parker thought about it for only a moment and then stated “I can scent your mother out already, Whitney, as my Goddess-Gifted Mate. Ever since Venus surfaced,” he told him, and saw Whitney stare right at him with more than a shocked expression. Parker smiled at him and nodded when the boy asked “Really?” “Yes, I’d like you to keep that to yourself though, it’s not for public knowledge at this point,” he stated and saw Whit nod slowly at him.

“Mum?” Whit asked now.

“I’ll be claiming her on the full moon as any Mate would. I don’t see why she wouldn’t accept me. She told me before all this came about, that she didn’t want to be my chosen, she wanted to find her
