There was not much sleep that night, because regardless of knowing this pup was going to be born outside of her and Parkers Mate Bond, her brain wouldn’t shut off, and so in the end she’d gotten up and pulled out her copy of her voided Mating Alliance.
It was a simple looking document that was on wolfen paper that was kind of yellow and had filigree all around the edge of the front page, then the words Mating Alliance written across the very top of it, though there was now he word VOIDED in big bold red letters stamped across the middle of those words.
She could see both Parker’s and her names there in full to show whose it was. And she turned the page and reread the clause about pups, because it was bugging her to the point where she couldn’t sleep and she really did need to, had a long drive ahead of her tomorrow.
Bella really did need to know the exact wording of it to ease her mind, it seemed, because she knew just how much Parker was a stickler for the rules, and the way things were worded were very important to him. He worded things to suite himself and the way he thought. He used them to get what he wanted from others as well. He was, she thought, very intelligent and did things in a specific way to get what he wanted from others.
That clause stated, ‘born within their mate bond‘, not conceived during their mate bond. So, on a technicality, Freya was actually right. She did not have to relinquish her pup to him, it was her pup, not his. There wasn’t even a clause about if she found out she was pregnant after rejection, she lay there and thought about that as well. Realised she didn’t actually have to tell him about it at all there was no clause for that.
Though not telling Parker at all about their pup, that bothered Bella. It, however, didn’t appear to bother Freya at all, not even in the slightest. Freya was of the opinion that it was Bella’s pup, and she should not have to give it up to Parker. She would never have to relinquish her kin bond to her pup either, if he didn’t know.
Which was what would happen if she told him about this pup she was carrying. A part of Bella wanted to tell him; he wasn’t a bad person, just indifferent to her. Had never harmed her in any way, but she also didn’t think that he’d treated her exactly like a Mate should do, there was no real love and care, he’d been indifferent to her, which she herself had returned in kind.
She understood she wasn’t his Goddess–Gifted. So, there wasn’t much more than that, that she could expect from him, especially seeing as she was chosen just to be rejected by him. He’d in no way attached himself to her, just like she hadn’t him, likely some sort of self–preservation on both their ends.
But she did know he wanted a pup with her, wanted to be a father, and she actually thought that he would likely make for a good father to his children as well. He would be honest and, though she thought probably a little too strict, she’d seen him smile at pack children, ruffle their hair and thought they were things he’d do with his own pups.

But then there was the fact that he and she were now rejected Mates, and she wasn’t even inside his pack anymore. They were now nothing to each other at all, she was also of rogue status, so technically pack rules and laws didn’t apply to her anymore.
He also had his Goddess Gifted Mate inside that pack now as well. That she–wolf, being his Goddess–Gifted, would give him pups, and likely quickly so with how much he enjoyed having sex.
Those pups, Parkers and Carina’s, they would be the true heirs to the pack, conceived and birthed within a Mate Bond, between the Alpha and Luna of the pack.
The pup she was now carrying might be older, even be the firstborn, but would be considered a bastard pup, regardless that they’d been mated to each other at the time of conception.
Parker was mated to another, so that, by that definition, meant that her and his pup was a bastard. Bella sighed to herself and kind of just flopped back down on her bed, she had no idea how the news would go down with his new Mate and Luna.
Though she had seen the very angry look directed at her, once Carina had understood who she was to Parker, his Chosen Luna. Bella had also seen the way Carina had tried to latch right onto Parker, all possessively as any Mate would, when faced with competition.
Only that girl likely didn’t know Bella wasn’t actually real competition. Though she had also probably thought Bella was going to beg and plead, and try to keep her position in Parker’s bed. The way most Mates would do when being rejected for another.
So, she had tried to show Bella her claim on that man, had looked even more furious when Parker had stopped his own Goddess–Gifted from displaying her claim on him, in front of others, one she likely thought she needed to show that he was hers to.
Bella understood why Parker had brushed Carina off. It wasn’t to offend her, it was done to stop Bella feeling any pains of betrayal, and everyone in the packhouse foyer, including the children she was sitting with, from seeing her suffer it.
Seeing that he let her suffer it willingly, because he now had a Goddess–Gifted Mate, which would see him
as cruel.
