Bella
Not once did Parker even ask her about their child, and even though he’d relinquished Whitney to her,
she’d thought that coming across him, Parker would have asked about the child. Seems he was still a
stickler for his contracts.
Though surely, he was curious as to if they’d had a son or daughter? Who the child took after? What she’d name their child? For all he knew, it could have been a multiple birth. She’d not even seen him look about as if looking for the child to be with her.
He would know that their child was eight years old now, and he’d not had that heir with Carina. Something had happened there, though she didn’t ask him about. Not only would it likely be a painful question, it was simply none of her business. But still she wondered how he could be here, know she and their child was here, and not even so much as ask a single question.

When she thought about it, she could only put that down to, that he must have actually severed his kin bond to their son. Therefore, he did not have any feelings about the child at all. She wondered when he’d done that. Maybe right when he found out, it’s not something she would have felt. But she guessed he’d probably forgotten all about his child with her if he’d done that.
Likely all consumed by his Goddess–Gifted. She was also curious as to why not one of his unit had tried to approach her about the child either. Even if just out of curiosity for themselves. She’d half expected to find Kane in the pack–hospital hunting her down to ask about the child Parker had given up.
She knew that the paperwork had not stated if the child was a boy or a girl, not even if it was a multiple or single birth, because she’d not known at the time, but no, not one of them came to find out. It was odd to her, and always had been considering he’d wanted a child with her.
Perhaps, she thought a little later that Parker had not told them, had just kept that discussion between himself, Carina and Alpha Gretta, who’d corresponded with them on her behalf. Maybe his Alpha unit didn’t
know at all.
She sat and thought about that for a long time after they all left, and could only think that they didn’t know, it had to have been that Parker had kept it from them.
Well, at least she now knew that she didn’t ever have to worry about it or concern herself with Parker coming and going from mating balls over the next few years. She looked at Whit as he came into the house that afternoon.
She’d called him home after all the births had come and gone, and there was none due for over a month now, so a relaxing month for her inside the pack where she could spend plenty of time with Whit to make up for the weekend where she’d worked constantly.
“There’s my boy” She smiled at him as she looked down at Whit. He looked a lot like Parker, and was already taller than all those his age. She knew that was because he was pure–blooded.

“You all babied out?” he chuckled up at her.
“Yes, for many weeks.” She answered.
“Sweet can we go camping then?” he was smiling at her.
“Yes.” She nodded and watched him run off to shower and change.
She mind–linked to Bella “Thank you. For helping me out all weekend.”
‘No problem, Bell. She answered her right back, Theard you came face to face with your ex.
‘I did. She answered.
‘I also heard that he didn’t even ask questions of you about your boy. Bella sighed.
‘He did not. So, I guess I don’t have to worry about it in the future either. Parker was always one to follow his contracts to the very letter. I guess the one about Whit is no different to him, then any alliance deal he makes: Belladonna shrugged ‘I now know I don’t have to keep Whit out of sight on purpose, it’s likely that Parker will either plead ignorance or has severed his kin bond to the child we had.’
‘I don’t get it Bell, what Alpha willingly gives up their heir? I don’t know any that would do that. Hell, most of them would sink fangs into the mother in order to have that child right there in the Alpha suite. Regardless of what she wants‘
Belladonna shrugged ‘He found out after his Goddess–Gifted was also pregnant, made a choice was all, to not disrupt his life. Honestly, I wouldn’t want Whit being treated differently just because he was born outside the mate bond. That is not a nice feeling, it is what I was. So, I’m glad he gave him up to me,
thankful to him, I guess.
