Chosen Just To Be Rejected by Jennifer Francis novel Chapter 50

Parker

He really did need to think about this carefully. Rushing off to confront Belladonna wasn’t going to be a good idea. He also didn’t want to hunt the child. That could be a disaster, Belladonna was an Alpha–blooded female inside this pack, a pack where he’d smelled many alpha–bloods. She wasn’t the only one other than Aston; it had all manner of wolves.

Aston and Mala were renowned for taking in anyone that asked for sanctuary, regardless of rank. It was one of the reasons the place was so strong. They didn’t even turn away other Alphas, they had no fear of them trying to take over the pack for themselves and Parker knew why that was as well.

Because they were all treated with respect, given a place to live and everything they needed, and looking at this pack he knew, trying to take on the Alpha, one would likely have to go through the entire leadership. And even then, if they won, Parker doubted this pack would bow down to them, likely just see them be killed by others here, and the Alpha and Luna’s children protected until they came of age at 18 and were instated.

There would be no taking over this pack from the inside, but it was a place where she–wolves could come and bring their Alpha pups and not have them used as bait, or treated terribly in order to hurt the child’s father. This pack protected everyone, which meant Belladonna and her child, children…did he have more than one? Had she had twins?

“Parker?” Kane interrupted his thoughts.

“Mm.”

“Mina said she had two children.” Kane reminded him, of the last conversation they’d had about her.

He turned and looked at his Beta now. “I recall, I was just thinking about that myself?”

“I don’t know if that’s what it is, it could be she’s had a pup with another while living here.” his Beta shrugged.

Parked huffed and ran a hand through his hair, as more annoyance rolled through him, it had been a year since he was last in this pack, she could well have a one–year–old, or a six–month–old, a newborn. Or twins to him that were nine. She could well have a Mate now as well. That would certainly complicate things a lot.

“Investigations need to be done, before any decisions are made.” He finally stated “1, I need to know if she is now mated. 2, if not mated, is she in a relationship with anyone and if so, what rank is he. 3, how old are her children, are they twins or are they different ages. 4, if not twins who is the father of the other child, and is he here inside this pack. Then we’ll get to the why she didn’t bloody tell me,” he muttered.

“So, how exactly do you want to go about this?” Axel asked.

He thought about that for a long moment. She’d not said anything the last time he was here “It’s probably

wise that I plead ignorance for the moment,” He didn’t want her suddenly hiding his child from him. It was likely she knew that he was here inside this pack right now, and that child or children had free rein to be anywhere they wanted. He wanted to keep that happening, so he could see if he could get a good look at his son or daughter.

He heard Vex snarl inside his mind at that statement. He ignored it. “Let’s try and get a chance to talk to Belladonna, see if she’ll openly tell me. likely have to bring it up if she’s got a family now”

“If she declines to answer?” Kane asked.

“Then she’s actively denying my rights.” He muttered “I’ll have to take it up with Aston as her actual Alpha, it’ll have to go through him, she’s Alpha–blooded and our pup will be pure–blooded. Add strength to this pack.”

“I’d say he has, then I have no say over her. I will hold no power at all, she herself is Aipha–blooded. Likely the best damn pack doctor there is out there, for births. He’ll want to keep her for that alone.” And he knew that Alpha and Luna to this pack would. Even he would take her back into his pack, as just a pack doctor, if is she would go, Annette would be ecstatic, and the pack would be very happy about it.
