Chosen Just To Be Rejected by Jennifer Francis novel Chapter 61

Part 5: Deception & Clarification

Alpha Gretta

Clar

She shook her head after hanging up the phone, she just knew it. She mind–linked to Hailey ‘Hailey, Bella’s Ex, Alpha Parker, has decided to try and lay claim to his son after all these years. I’ve got to go up the Hollowed Moon to smack an Alpha, for breaking the deal he struck with me.‘

Hailey snorted full amused ‘Alright, hit him where it hurts. We’ve got the college. If he needs a second slap, have that Luna up there do it. She relishes in that, and packs a hell of a punch.’

‘That she does.’ Gretta chuckled, she got up and found that file, that had everything she needed to bring that Alpha into line. All the emails that had gone back and forth between herself, him and his Luna. The sighed agreement of him releasing all his rights to Whit over to Belladonna, though at the time it stated‘ unborn child whether it be boy or girl‘, because at the time Bella had not known.

She had covered everything in that agreement, crossed all the T’s and dotted all the I’s, made sure that her wording was very specific around that child, because if not, and she’d written ‘son‘ and Bella had a girl, he could find out and come back to claim the child. Also, why she’d worded it Alpha Belladonna Lilly Harrington, her name and rank included.

She was good with contracts, as were all Alphas on the Wolfen Council. Every single one of the 12 of them had law degrees in both human and the wolfen world, to make sure they could do these things and be certain they were above board,

She was in no rush and if Alpha Parker did go off to find Whit and actually manage to come face to face with him. She was going to punish that Alpha… Hmm, she thought about that, pulled her Wolfen Council suit on; better go dressed properly.

She opted for her sleeveless crew neck suit. It would be the most comfortable thing to wear on the long drive up there to the Hollowed Moon. Attached her Wolfen Council pin to the top right–hand side and pulled her long dark curly hair up into a banana clip, it was the quickest and easiest way to manage her curls, and also keep a semi–professional look.

She pulled up to the gate at 2pm and showed her Wolfen Council ID, and was waved through. She drove right to the packhouse and got out with her briefcase, to greet an awaiting Alpha Aston, Luna Mala and the Alpha unit. Standard protocol for when greeting arriving council members.

“Aston, Mala. How’s your day going?” she greeted them, getting straight to the point.

“Quiet. There is a difference of opinion going on between Bell and Parker.”

“Mm, I feel Belladonna will win this, with me on her side. Have everyone, bar her son, present themselves to your office, please Aston. I’ll use that while I’m here.”

“I thought you might, I’ve already got them waiting in there. Did that when you crossed the border so as not to keep you waiting.”

“Excellent, I don’t like wasting time.” She nodded and walked on passed them all into the packhouse, right into the Alpha’s office. She looked at all in the room, Alpha Parker and his entire unit on one side of the coffee table, and Bella on the other side.

“I’m Alpha Gretta of the Wolfen Council.” she introduced herself, not having actually met Alpha Parker himself before. Then she turned and smiled at Bella, “Bella, how are you? It’s good to see you again. We miss you at the college.”

“Ah, you just miss my Luna Calm.” Bella chuckled and got up to hug her briefly.

“Nothing gets passed you I see.” Gretta hugged her back, “It does help with all those 18–year–old Alphas I’m in charge of.” She nodded and then seated herself between them all at the top end of the coffee table. Aston, she could see, had already set the room up for a formal meeting; a good Alpha he was.

“How many?” Bella asked her with a smile.

“Seven are currently pregnant,” she shook her head “It always happens, though three are from fully bonded pairs, the other four, she shrugged “is anyone’s guess.”

“Now.she turned her attention to the actual reason she was here, seeing as Aston, Mala and his unit had all come into the room and closed the door, taken up their seats while she’d been chatting with Bella.

“Alpha Parker Hartly,” she used his full name, so he understood she did know who he was. “You yourself relinquished all your rights to Alpha Belladonna Harrington’s pup, years ago, why are we doing this?”

“Well, I have the proof that you did.” She opened her briefcase and pulled out their file. It was marked clearly with both their names and the date the file had been started, along with what it was for. She put it on the coffee table for him to see. “In there, are all the emails that went back and forth, are in date order, from first to last. That went between myself, as Belladonna’s representation for the agreement that was made, and you, Alpha Parker and your Luna, Carina.” She watched him reach out for it “I believe it was your Luna that responded to me first as well. You’ll see that. Feel free to check the sss addresses and make sure they are yours and hers.”
