Chapter 80
Chapter 80
(Creed)
This time, there was no recognition in Elianna’s eyes as if she was looking at a stranger and not at her baby’s father. And the hatred was because I invaded their space looking like this.
She screamed. “Pervert-”
“Hush, honey. Let me take care of this. I’ll protect you and our baby. Go back to sleep,” Richards whispered, calming her nerves when I should be the one doing that.
And what baby was he talking about? This rotten psychopath, always stealing what did not belong to him.
In his mere words, Elianna had fallen back to sleep. The tenderness in his eyes vanished as his gaze landed on me. In a blink of an eye, the half-breed was in front of me and smashed his fist against my stomach. His strength as a dragon sent me flying out of the door. He followed me there while the Alpha King quickly ran to his niece and carried her. Terrence wanted to stay behind, but I linked with him.
‘No, your highness. You have to be there with them,’ I pleaded for the first time in my life. ‘The King is carrying my entire world in his arms. Please protect them.’
‘But what about you? Richards and his dragons-*
‘I’ll find a way somehow. Go now, your highness. Please! Aurelia is outside. She will teleport the three of you out of here.
Richards seemed unbothered even if he saw them running away with Elianna.
“My wife will come back to me,” he uttered with confidence. “We’ve already reached an understanding. She wants to give our marriage a try-“
“Marriage?” I scoffed. “Have you forgotten? You and Elianna are already divorced, Richards. I made it happen.” I smirked through the pain in my chest. “You are delusional. If not for your manipulations, I doubt if she will waste even a second of her time looking at you. I pity you. You had to rely on tricks to get the woman you want-”
That earned me another punch in the gut. I raised my fist and stopped midair I could take him down. I could crush all his
apart. Hell, I had fought the general of the dragons himself. What more a hatchling? I had never backed down in any
fight.
It was Richards who laughed this time. “What? Can’t fight back? You’re all talk, Black.”

After centuries of scraping by, Jacques and I had witnessed everything the world had to offer including all their drama. My brother and I rarely get surprised anymore except when we learned about Eloise and her daughter. Even then, after exhausting all ideas to unbind our niece with a measly hatchling, we ended up betting on how this would end.
I did not have to turn to know that Jacques’ dragon was gloating after seeing that the situation was leaning towards the ending he had predicted.
Mind compulsion? Amnesia? Really? This was nothing new. This was why I did not want our kind to be associated with humans. Richards must have been a fan of their overused plots and tried instilling it in real life.
We watched as the werewolf general Black deflected each and every attack from Richards. It was laughable to see him try to be careful with the latter’s fist despite the rage in his eyes. Black was doing all he could not to hurt his opponent.
Richards was clearly losing his temper. Jacques and I glanced at each other when we saw the dragons regaining their consciousness. As Richards, their sire, shifted into his dragon forms, his dragons all rose at once.

Richards used his claws to snatch Black. His dragons were about to follow them when our own army of dragons blocked their path. I grabbed the horns of the hatchling in front of me and connected with Aurelia through my mind. The hatchling roared and was about to spit fire on me when I pulled out one of his horns until his blood leaked from my hand. It was the only way to know if our niece was linked with them.
“What is the current situation there?” I asked Aurelia.
“The princess has awakened and she is in pain. Her head is suddenly bleeding severely.”
Damn it. They were connected after all.
I immediately healed the hatchling and returned his horn. “Is she healing?”
“No, my lord.”
“That’s impossible. I healed the hatchling. Take a look again and then get back to me.”
After a few minutes of silence, I heard her voice again. “Still the same, my lord. The princess is still bleeding and screaming from the pain in her head. She is hysterical. The healers arrived and none of them could heal her head.”
I relayed the message to Jacques.
“No one hurts the hatchlings!” Jacques commanded our army. “Only suppress them!” He glanced at me. “I will take it from here. See how the werewolf general is faring. Compared to Eloise, Elianna seems to have a vindictive side to her. He needs to be alive. If our niece recovers her memories and finds him gone, I have a feeling that she will unleash hell on us all.”
My dragon was in the middle of searching for Richards and Black through the mountains when Aurelia’s frantic voice rang in my ears again.
“The princess vanished, my lord! She is still weak and bleeding! She is not supposed to be roaming around. Aramides and I have ordered a search operation for her-”
”
“No need. Elianna is here.” My eyes narrowed upon the sight that greeted me. Black was on the edge of a cliff, looking barely alive, Richards’ dragon was above him, while our niece was running to them, bleeding, just as Aurelia stated.
But for her to manage to get here despite all the fuckery Richards had done to her head, had proved that her powers as a tamer were awakening. Her mana was faster than Aurelia’s teleportation skills and our dragons.
Richards quickly shifted in his human form and bridged the gap between them. “Honey, I told you to rest. Why are you-”
Elianna did not spare a glance at Richards. She ran to Black. There was still no recognition in her eyes, but she was sobbing upon seeing his condition.
“Honey-”
Richards held her hand, but then she whispered words that made even my dragon freeze. It only took seconds for black blood to drip from his eyes, ears, nose, and mouth, and still had the audacity to look at Elianna as if he had been stabbed in the back. He had fallen into the ground and so did my niece.
It was not easy to fight back the spell that she unknowingly casted between them. As Richards started to have seizures on the ground, all I could think of was get her out of here so our resident doctors could check on her. She looked deathly pale and was trembling, bringing back the fear that I only felt when Hugo was still alive.
I flew her in my dragon form. I was up in the air when I sensed another presence, a witch, who pushed Black down the cliff.
“No!”
