What was it about her? What made Elianna different from the rest? What was it about her that had ensnared me so much that I could not seem to get out of this trap anymore? I was dying to know.
If this was just the mate bond, I was more powerful than that. Unlike the other shifters, I had no problem getting rid of it. Especially with mana now flowing in my veins, with or without her, I could destroy the bond easily.
I could not leave those questions unanswered for another day. That’s why I was here and slowly, things were unraveling before me.
I saw tears falling down her plump cheeks and in a matter of seconds, I had known wrath, an emotion that was far stronger than the one I felt for the humans who betrayed the werewolves and caused my father’s death and my mother to die eventually for the pain that stemmed from the loss of their bond My beast that was only beginning to calm down from seeing her was on the brink of going berserk again, clawing at my insides with a ferocious need to annihilate the ones who brought those tears in her eyes.
I took Eli in my arms and I found them: peace and warmth, immediately soothing the ache in my skull and my back from the mana procedure. Her softness and vulnerability brought out a new surge of emotion in me. Protectiveness.
Our gazes locked and I did not want to look away. This was an obsession at the highest level. I stared at her rosy lips and I understood thirst. I had never been attracted to pregnant women. In fact, I did not remember a time I looked at any of them apart from my sister. But this one? The longer I looked at her, the harder I became.
My cock that had been unresponsive for the last ten weeks was rock hard for Eli. To think that she was not even doing anything to warrant this arousal. She was just in my arms, breathing, and staring at me like I had grown horns. Her lips parted slightly and I wanted to bite them, kiss them, and ravish them, especially the spot hiding between her thighs.
I could smell it and I wondered if it tasted as sweet as her scent.
The butler, Ray, was waiting for us at the front door of their mansion. He bowed at the princess and frowned at me upon seeing me carry her as if he found it disgusting that a werewolf laid his hands on their dragon royalty.
I did not give a flying fuck. If he were to voice out his disgust, I would burn him too. Luckily for him, he took a step if he could sense his impending doom.
He cleared his throat. “Good evening, your highness. I am here to assist you in your new room. This way, Sir Black.”
back as
He assisted us to the east wing and led us to the room opposite the former room Eli used the night before this. I met her uncles there briefly before I proceeded to find her.
Ray opened the door for us when he realized that I had no interion of putting the princess down. I did not want to. Not yet. None of them had the slightest idea of how long I searched for r and craved her. Releasing her would be hard when all I wanted to do was keep her in my arms where she was the safest.
“Would you like me to send you your meal now, your highness?
“Yes please. Bring another tray for Mr. Black as well.”
“Understood.”
“Thank you,” she said, showing the butler a little smile which seed to soften him up in an instant, unconsciously releasing her tamer charm.
He smiled in return. I could almost see his tail wagging.
“What else can I do for you, princess?” he asked, eager to please.

My eyes narrowed. My wolf glowered at him, his dragon glared back. I let him see the fire in my eyes. They may be strong in their human forms, but they could not roast anyone unless they were in their dragon forms. I could. Not to mention that I once fought their military general who was clearly ten times stronger than this butler.
His eyes widened as he took another step back.
“Get out,” I mouthed dismissively.
They would never understand what I felt. They were not the ones mated with her. They were not the man who was forced to live without his mate for months. Having another man here irke me and my beast especially since I hadn’t had enough time with her yet.
“If you do not need anything else, your highness, then I shall take my leave-”
“Wait.”
I nearly growled, particularly when Eli looked up and said, “Put the down, Creed.”
The goddamn butler gave me a smug smile. Can I rip his mouth just once? It would heal in a day or two for wolves and maybe an hour or two for dragons. But when my gaze accidentally landed on Eli’s baby bump, I breathed sharply and was forced to keep the fire to myself.
Violence was bad in front of Eli and the baby. Maybe later once he turned her back.
Against my will, I indulged her. Once she was on her feet, she asked her bag of treasures to be handed back to her. And there was it again, a new emotion forming as I relearned her. Amusement.
Eli opened her bag, blinding both the butler and me with all the gold bars inside as she searched for something.
“There is something I want to give you, Ray.”
“Your highness, I don’t believe I have done anything that would warrant a gold bar straight from the dragon heir herself,” Ray said, smiling brightly although anticipation was brimming in his eyes at the thought of receiving something from their princess. He extended both his hands as he stood there, waiting. But I would gladly accept it if it’s from you-“
“Found it!” Eli exclaimed, her eyes lit up as she gave the vial to the butler, the latter’s smile freezing.
I smirked. Did he really think she would be handing her precious bars so easily when the two of us could see how much she cherished them like crazy?
“Give this to Vanna and her minions,” she said. “It’s a vial of my blood. It can heal them.”
It turned out she was giving something far more precious than gold. A tamer’s blood was the most valuable thing in their realm.
Ray’s smile returned, his eyes flashing from admiration. “You are healing them? But they had offended you, your highness. They do not deserve this. They should be begging for our forgiveness. You have a heart more golden than these
bars-”
“Don’t misunderstand,” she replied, avoiding his gaze, her cheek flushing from embarrassment like she was not used to being praised. That would change with me here. My mate deserved to be praised and more.
“This doesn’t mean that I forgive them. I don’t and I won’t. I can forgive them for insulting me, but not for saying those trashy things against my mom and my baby. But if they are going to die, it’s not going to be by my hands or his,” she added as she pointed at ine with her finger.
Now Ray and I were both restraining our smiles. No matter how much the princess denied it, she had an incredible heart. 1 recognized the adoration blooming in my chest.

Chapter 92
“I will relay your message to them, your highness. Thank you and have a good night.”
Ray bowed to her before finally departing.
In just one night, I was able to understand plenty of emotions at once.
“What now?” Eli asked defensively when she caught me staring.
I did not respond and just brought her to my arms.
The worst part?
I was in another territory, in a land foreign to me, and yet, with her in my arms, I was home.
That was when I knew I was completely, helplessly, and thoroughly fucked.
I was a goner for this woman.
