Claimed By My Husband's Enemy novel Chapter 95

Chapter 95

(Eli)

“Let me.”

In a blink of an eye, Creed was on his knees in front of me, facing my lower half with my cotton panties in his hand that he snatched so easily from me. I struggled taking them off the way struggled putting them on these days.

“This is not a weakness, Elianna. This is you getting the treatment you deserve,” Creed added as if he could see the logical side of me and my dignity warring inside me, showing me that was not getting my pride stripped, but actually gaining it back. With me standing and the alpha general on his knees on the carpet, he was telling me that I still had control over the

situation.

Slowly, I nodded.

I allowed him to assist me in putting the damn thing on although what Creed did next was unexpected. He stared at my baby bump, caressed my belly, before dropping a soft kiss on it. The sight brought fresh tears to my eyes.

This was how I’d always imagined it, the daddy staring at my baby bump with affection. I just never thought it would be my bodyguard doing it and he delivered. He did more than what I expected. He laid his pride and bent his knees, with beautiful promises in his eyes.

Creed rose as my chest heaved. He brushed my tears away with his fingers before pulling me into his arms. I sobbed. Maybe we had really met before. How else could I explain why I was familiar with this comfort, why I was so used to having his arms wrapped around me? Why I was familiar with his beach house? Maybe we met when I was already pregnant with Landon’s child.

The past minutes passed by in silence while I struggled to put a lid on my emotions. It was only when I calmed down that I realized that his clothes were still soaked.

“You’re wet.”

“And hard too. Thank you for noticing.”

He chuckled when my cheeks heated. He released me from his embrace, and the loss of contact was making me

emotional all over again. I quickly put on a dress as he weaved a spell, drying his clothes in an instant, leaving just his hard- on as his main problem.

“Unfortunately, mana can only do so much. Unless you want to lend hand, I suggest you quit looking at it, Elianna.”

This man’s mouth knew no boundaries.

“Stop teasing me,” I said, my voice lacking conviction.

Thankfully, the butler arrived with the trolley. The scent of food immediately made my stomach rumble. Ray set up the food on the table in one corner. I didn’t have an appetite. I’d only been forcing food in my mouth for the baby the past months. That’s why I remembered the exact moment I felt real hunger for the first time since waking up with memory loss.

And it was in Creed’s house when the food monster in me awakened. My plate was cleaned in a matter of minutes. When I looked up, I found my bodyguard sitting across from me, with a half-eaten dinner and a smile that could melt any heart.

I looked away and headed for the bed, ignoring the sudden cramp in my legs. But nothing could escape my bodyguard’s eyes because when I sat on the bed, he plopped down on the carpet as he put a pillow on his thigh before placing my feet on the pillow.

And then he started massaging my swollen feet like it was the most natural thing in the world as his wolf hummed. It felt…

nice.

“Get used to this,” he said as he looked up, capturing my eyes. “Men are providers-”

I scoffed, suddenly remembering the men mom and I married when we were young and dumb. “Yeah, men provide stress, problems, anxiety, and a never-ending trauma. Thanks for the reminder.”

“I agree,” he answered, nodding. “But you should know by now that there are two kinds of men in the world, princess. There are men like that and then there’s me.”

That smirk that followed next made me feel not only the butterflies in my stomach. It was an entire damn zoo in there, especially in my chest.

“Do it then.” He opened his beautiful gray eyes; they glimmered ke the stars outside. “I would love that.”

Chapter 95

“Once upon a time, there was a hopeless romantic moron who described falling in love with a woman through colors.”

I glared at the phone after hearing such absurdity from the dragon king himself as I resisted the urge to burn it to stop any of the dragons from wasting my time like this. Who would have believed that the man who was regarded as the vilest creature in all realms would say those words?

“Pardon me, Your Excellency, but I have more important things to do than listen to this fairytale bullshit.”

Like watching his niece fall asleep. Like watching her breathe. Like listening to her heartbeat.

Before I met Elianna, I spent every waking moment of my life picturing her in my mind, imagining what she looked like, what her voice sounded like, and what her scent was like. I saw her for the first time since the head injury in my property and the force of our encounter swept me off my own feet. She was nothing like I imagined with her curious eyes, plump cheeks, and round belly. And yet, she was a vision.

The princess was already carrying her ex’s baby when I first found her. That was the first thing I became sure of. I had hopes in the beginning that maybe the baby was mine, but there was no energy in her belly that every alpha would have felt by now. If there was, it was muted, which should not have been the case for any alpha’s child. No matter what kind of blood she had, I would have felt anything.

And there was none.

The second thing I was certain of was that I was crazy about her then and still just as crazy about her now. It would not have mattered who the father was. I would still have swooped in, willing to become the father. There was nothing I would not have done to be a part of her life.

Elianna’s eyes were a bit swollen from all the crying she had done after watching a film about a lion prince or was it king? Anyway, she watched it as she devoured her matcha ice cream. She was an emotional wreck. And I was not into people like that. Yet, as I stared at her, I had never seen anyone more adorable… and yes, more edible as well.

“Don’t hang up and just answer the question, Creed,” Jacques warned before I could end the call. “Look at her and tell me what color you see in her tonight.”

“The entire rainbow.”

His niece wore a fuchsia pink night dress and neon green slippers a while ago that hurt my corneas for a brief moment and while watching the film earlier, she put on this big, hideous yellow headband, before requesting for snacks from the butler and when the latter saw her in too much colors, even the guy was startled.

Yet, I would not have her in any color or in any clothes. They put a sparkle in her eyes and I would rather have my eyes hurt by looking at her eccentric choice of clothes than lose that sparkle.

“So, after all this time, it’s still the same for the hopeless romantic idiot.” The dragon king sounded pleased all of a sudden.” Ray reported to me and said Eli finished her meals for the first time since arriving on the island. She requested for snacks which she hadn’t done before and that she was back to wearing colors now. So much progress on the first day. I’m relieved.”

That was because apart, she and I were chaos, we were only fragments of ourselves. Together, we were whole although Elianna was yet to understand that. I saw the words she scribbled in her room. They were destroyed, but I recovered them

through my mana.

A part of her had always remembered me. She had been writing about me unconsciously and had been waiting for me long

before she knew it.

“It’s alright. You don’t have to answer. From here, all of us could hear your heart beating hard.”

I shrugged shamelessly and stared at his niece.

When the call ended, I tossed the phone on the divan and laid beside his niece. The dragon king would kill me if he were to hear my answer.

Because my heartbeat was not the only thing hard about me right now.
