Tank POV
After making sure the prisoners are in the cells, stripped down to their underwear, taking their phones, and giving them to our tech guy to look over, I had them tied to chairs, and a man to watch for when they wake up. It made me feel good inside, seeing them retrained like that. I would have liked a bit of a punch-up, but this was quieter, and so far, no one can pin their disappearance on us. Brilliant if you ask me. Even the cops can’t, because the security looked like any visiting group of farmers, dressed casually, none looking like security, they know how to hide in public.
All completed to my satisfaction, I go looking for the Prez.
“Zero, where’s Prez?” I had run out of places to find him.
“You haven’t heard. I forgot you had gone out when the call came in from Fixer, telling Prez to get over there. Last I heard was a frantic call from Melony, Sticks was in labour and had been taken to the hospital. Prez took off like a rocket, and from what I could make out, Melony was taken in Fixer’s new fancy helicopter. Melony sounded disappointed that she couldn’t go; she and Jenny were cleaning up Sticks’ bed as she made a mess. Luckily, the nurse had a mattress protector on it, or the mattress would be ruined. “Zero was in the Prez’s office, going through the wallets and documents in the prisoners’ pockets.
“I didn’t know, although I saw the chopper taking to the skies, didn’t think much about it at the time, it could have been Uncle Simon popping in,” I replied, looking at what he was doing.
“Yeah, I think you might need to go to the hospital. Fixer will need you, Blaze might have to go with you, for Jenny.” I nod as he speaks. It makes sense, might get some takeaway, and bottles of water; they won’t want that hospital stuff. Some of those vending machines are exceptionally terrible.
“Find anything interesting in that lot?” I asked, nodding to the wallets he was going through.
“Nope, they’re careful, driver’s license and money, no credit cards, or notes. quite boring really.” I had expected as much when we were out on the prowl; we took almost nothing, too.
“Leave the men in the cells to yell and scream, give them some time to think, Stephen had offered to help out, with truth drug if we need it. But suggest we wait for later, when they think they have been strong in resisting our questions. No food or water, and no one enters the cells till Prez returns. I will go to the hospital.” Zero stands, and we walk out the door.
“Guys, Tank will go to the hospital, check on Sticks, and get orders from Prez. We are to leave the men in the cells for now, with no contact, no water, and no food. Post guards around the door, no one in, until Prez gives the orders.” I waited for Zerd to finish and for the guys to have questions.
“Then I am heading home, will be back in the morning. Keep us informed, some of us want a crack and breaking a nose or two.” A group agreed and started out the door.
Men started to leave, and I moved out too.
Found Stephen and his men in his office, talking about what went down.
“Stephen, the men in the cells are in underwear, tied to a chair; they will not be fed or given water, and I have given instructions not to enter the cells until Prez returns; however, I feel some might not wait. Could you place some men at the door, stop any from entering?” I know I was asking a lot, but I had to give it a try.
“Consider it done.” I turned to leave and noticed a man whose face I felt I should know.
“Do I know you?” I asked, looking at the man.
.”This is Fixer’s new pilot; he just finished service and has joined us. Savage, this is Tank Fixers,
