Claimed by the Biker Giant (Maxine and Tank) novel Chapter 207

Fixer POV

The cafe manager came out, a worried look on his face, and he raced towards Fixer.

“We will be out of food by tomorrow lunch. Any news on when the shipment you promised will arrive?’ He leaned in and whispered.. “This afternoon, will give them a call to make sure they park close.” I phoned Uncle Simon and relayed the worried message.

The manager went back and personally brought us coffee, no charge, which made me laugh; I would have paid.

Bruiser came in, the young woman on her arm.

“Can we join you?’ He asked, looking between Tank and Savage.

“Sure, have you ordered?”

“Yes, the only place in town open to get food and drinks,” Bruiser answered as he pulled the chair out for the young lady.

“The club will be meeting up tomorrow, you are invited, and you can bring your lady with you,” Tank said, with a smile.

“Karen, this is Tank, you know Fixer, and Savage. Tank was there at the bluff, bringing the boys back. Savage was the pilot of the chopper.” Bruiser introduced her.

“Thank you for being there for the boys.” Karen was almost in tears again. Poor lady must have cried so much the last day or so.

“How’s Danny?” I asked before she could react to the introductions.

“He can come home, but I have no home to go to, and I don’t want to take him to the civic cente

“Bruiser, I have a two-bedroom cottage on the property. She can stay there, will you assist her in moving in till we find something more permanent? I didn’t want to suggest it permanently, in case

Bruiser wasn’t interested in her the way I think he was.

“Sure, we can pack some of their belongings from the house; it’s safe enough to enter now. Tank, are you sure I can go to the club?” he looked so uncertain.

“Yes. I had a long talk with Prez. He has spoken to the members; he told them off and made them feel ashamed of how they have treated you. You can come back, but at a diminished capacity.” I was smiling at this news, and Bruiser looked relieved.

“I just want to ride in the group, no need to make me more than… What did that guy call it?

‘Probationary member, not a nom, but not a full member, I can handle that, as long as I can come and have a beer again with those I considered my family, and go on rides. Karen, would you like to come?” Bruiser turned to the woman, who blushed and nodded.

“Danny would love to have a ride on a bike; he has idolised you for years,” I noted, but she didn’t mention how she felt about it.

“The club has purchased a lot of tents and is erecting a camping area for those who have lost their homes, as the motels, hotels, and bed and breakfast places are already full. The rich were quick at filling them. The first are arriving today, and will fill quickly. But with all the help we have in town, it won’t take long to get the town up and running again. This cafe was one of the few lucky ones, with its own generators, so it could keep its doors open.” Tank was filling Bruiser up with all the missed news.

My phone rang.

“Fixer, we have a convoy arriving shortly, food, clothing, this was separate to the truck with the supplies for the cafe, will set up at the civic center, for people to collect what they need.” Uncle Simon sounded excited on the other end of the phone.
