Chapter 106
I am tongue-tied.
Surprised? Definitely. But more than that….I don’ even know what to say.
Luca is the one who finally speaks, his hands raised in a calming gesture.
“It’s not what it looks like. I was just leaving.”.
Asher’s voice slices through the air, laced with venom. “Yeah, I can see that. You were done with her, and now you’re leaving.”
My eyes narrow. “What do you mean?” I ask, but his glare lands on me next, sharp and brutal.
“Shut the hell up, you whore.”
The words punch through me. I blink, stunned.
“You think I don’t know what you’ve been doing” he growls. “You think I don’t know what the two of you have been sneaking around doing behind my back?”
“Hey, calm down, man,” Luca cuts in, voice firm but cautious. “I’m not doing anything with her.”
“Oh my god,” I whisper, disbelief twisting in my gut. “I can’t believe you.”
Asher’s hand jerks back toward me in warning.
“I told you to shut the fuck up,” he spits.
He turns back to Luca.
“So this is what you’ve been doing all this time?” he demands. “Telling me not to come here because you’ve been sneaking in to fuck her?”
“What?” Luca’s face hardens. “You were right there when I got the call about Leon being sick.”
“Don’t say that name to me,” Asher snaps.
Luca doesn’t flinch. He just nods once. “Okay. You got the call. The kid was sick. I helped take him to the hospital. We just got back. That’s it.”
“Oh,” Asher scoffs, “so now she’s thanking you. That’s your payment, huh? She thanks you by letting you into her room?”
I step forward, voice breaking. “You think I slept with him?”
Asher’s hand raises again, and I freeze. It takes everything in me to keep quiet, to swallow the fire rising in my chest. So I bite my lip-hard-and hold it all in.
He turns back to Luca again.

“You’ve been lying to me. Telling me it’s a bad idea to come here. That I should stay away. And all this time, you’ve been here with her.”
Luca’s patience is cracking. His voice rises with frustration. “God, man. Yeah, she’s beautiful. Yeah, she’s hot. Anyone can see that. But I’m not interested in her. I haven’t touched her. I don’t want your sloppy seconds!”
That’s when it happens.
Asher’s fist flies. The punch lands hard across Luga’s jaw, the sound echoing through the room like thunder.
I gasped, paralyzed.
Luca stumbles back but doesn’t fall. He looks shocked, but more hurt than angry.
I stand there, frozen, hands clenched at my sides heart pounding like a drum.
What just happened? What is happening?
And, God….what’s going to happen now?
Please, no. They can’t fight. Not over me. Not like this. This is not what I wanted.
The room goes silent. Neither of them moves.
I don’t think Asher meant to hit Luca, not really. And I don’t think Luca ever expected to be hit. The look in their eyes, the stiffness in their postures, it’s all surprise. Stunned silence.
Luca slowly lifts his hand to his mouth and wipes it. I see a faint pinkish smear on his fingers. Blood. My stomach twists violently.
If he’s willing to hit his best friend like this… what will he do to me, the whore in this scenario?
Luca straightens, his voice low and controlled but carrying the edge of a warning.
“I’m going to blame this outburst on the fact that you haven’t had any pussy in a long time,” he says, coldly. “But don’t you ever raise your hand at me again unless you’re damn sure of what you’re accusing me of?”
His tone shifts. “Remember who we are. Remember how I’ve been with you. If you’re going to accuse me of something, make sure you’ve got evidence. Because I’ve only ever come to this house when you told me to. Once a month. Always with your say so.”
He steps forward slightly, not in threat, but in finality. “You’d know if I came more than that. You’ve got guards at every door. Cameras in every hall. If I were fucking her, I am pretty sure You’d know about it.”
Luca shakes his head, disgusted and disappointed “The fact that you hit me without a shred of proof? I’ll let it slide once. But don’t ever try that again.”

Then, with a sharp exhale and a bitter twist to his mouth, he mutters, “You need to get laid, man.”
Asher flinches, just barely and scoffs. “I have a wife. I’m fucking her every night. I don’t need anyone else.”
His eyes flick toward me, his face hard and unreadable. His hand lifts slightly as if reaching for something…
“I don’t fuck Whores.”
I brace myself. It hurts, but I don’t show it.
Luca winces. He doesn’t look at me, but I can tell he feels it too. “I’m leaving,” he says sharply.
He turns, and as he walks out, Asher calls after him, voice harsh, “Don’t ever come back to this house again!”
Luca doesn’t even turn around. “Whatever you say, Don,” he calls back, his voice already fading as he heads down the hall.
