“What’s… what’s this?” My voice cracked, barely above a whisper, as I stared at the papers trembling in my hands. The legal language blurred before my eyes, but the intent was razor–sharp. “Dad… what is this? What are you…”
“Due to your foolishness,” my mother said quietly, her words landing like a slap across my cheek, “Grant wanted you off the name Frost.”
Cold rushed through me so fast I felt dizzy.
That wasn’t true.
I hadn’t even touched Viviana.
Would the man who raised me from birth, nurtured me, loved me, called me his daughter really throw me away over a simple misunderstanding? Over one lie from Viviana?
“Father…” My voice shook.
“Snow.” Roc’s voice cut through, low and steady, but I could hear the strain in it. “Dad, you should reconsider this. Snow would never hurt Viviana. And even if she did, disowning her is… too much.”
“She’s the one who hurt me, Roc.” Viviana’s voice rose soft, wounded, tears already gathering in her eyes like she’d been rehearsing the performance. “Why won’t you believe me? I only wanted to make up with her and she… she hurt me. Is it after she kills me that you’ll all finally believe me?”
Silence stretched, thick, suffocating.
Then my biological father, Alpha Herold of Mooncrest Pack spoke, voice quiet but final.
“Just go in and pack your bags. Since you’ve caused so much nuisance here, you should come back to the pack.”
I waited.
Waited for someone, anyone to argue. To defend me. To say this was insane.
No one did.
“I’m not going,” I whispered, the words slipping out like a vow.
Every eye in the room snapped to me.
I settled my gaze on my human father, Grant Frost, the man who had raised me, who had taught me right from wrong, who had once looked at me like I was his entire world.
“Dad,” I said, voice trembling but clear, “I swear to you I didn’t hurt Viviana. Will you believe her more than me? Because she’s… your blood?”
“I was believing the obvious,” he replied, voice flat, eyes hard.
“No.” I shook
my
head slowly. “This isn’t the obvious. And deep down… I think you know I didn’t do it.”

His eyes flicked up to meet mine sharp, unreadable.
“And even if I did,” I continued, my voice gaining strength, “it would pale in comparison to what she’s done to me.”
The atmosphere froze.
Tension crackled like static before a storm.
Awe. Curiosity. Fear.
“Snow,” Kashi said softly, warning.
But I didn’t stop.

“I didn’t push Viviana into the wall. She did that to herself because she wanted this to happen. And you’re all letting her.”
“Oh, that guilt–tripping again?” Dante muttered, bored. “Aren’t you tired of playing that card? This isn’t the rape case anymore. Pack your bags and let’s go home before you make more of a fool of yourself.”
Rape case.
The words hit like a gunshot.
I pulled back, blinking, then slowly shifted my gaze to Eshan, then to Roc.
“What’s the minimum sentence for a rapist’s accomplice in jail?” I asked, voice steady now.
A chill swept through the entire living room.
No one answered.
I turned to my human father. He is a retired judge, keeper of laws, he should know.
“How many years does someone who orchestrated a rape get, Father?”
He went still.
“In the human region…” His voice was quiet, almost reluctant. “That’s a life sentence.”
I nodded once, goosebumps crawling over my skin as I exhaled shakily, letting the tension bleed out of me. I rubbed my fingers together to keep the panic at bay, but it only sharpened.
I had believed I wouldn’t cry tonight.
Hot tears stung my eyes anyway.
“I’m glad all of you are here,” I said, voice trembling but resolute. “Because I don’t want to speak this twice or never find the strength to say it again.”
I looked straight at Viviana.
“Four years ago, a block away from Mooncrest Pack, in the dark alley I was raped. Multiple times. It went on for an hour. Each man took his turn, right after I was stabbed so they could have their way. I healed. I endured. I married. I lived. I tried to forget. Until the truth reached me.”

Viviana shifted in her seat small, uncomfortable movements.
My mother began looking around the room, anywhere but at me.
The only ones who sat completely still, scared they might miss a single word were my human brothers and, surprisingly, my biological father.
