Chapter 49
Snowflakes
“Pinky! Pinky!! Pinky!!”
Finished
The Golden Stadium was filled to the brim, overflowing in a mind–blowing way. I’ve always known Pinky is famous, the best actress in all the wolf–territory and human region but witnessing her aura and how much she draws… it’s insane.
Now I realized vividly enough why Eshan has always been jealous and protective. Pinky have so many love
ones.
Dusk had fallen, and as much as everyone hated it, the plan was running, and my suggestion was running with it. I had made the stakes and given the orders.
Mr. Gerald had told me one thing and that is if the plan goes pear–shaped, I will shoulder the responsibility.
That was why I was antsy now.
At all cost, Brown Fash must come here tonight. He has to be here with his daughter.
“Snow?” Quince’s voice comes from behind, and I turn away from the balcony overlooking the stadium.
“Pinky is calling for you.”
I rush backstage to find Pinky already dressed and ready for the action. Her manager is present, along with Eshan. The H.O.W.L. security guards lurk around every corner, here too.
“It’s about to begin. You’ll stay in the CCTV room and keep your notes. I’ll invite the fans one by one into the hall to talk and sign cards. If Brown Fash comes, you’ll see him.”
“Good,” I nod, taking her hand. “Thanks for doing this, Pinky.”
“This is for my brother–in–law. I’ll do anything,” she replies, turning to Eshan, searching his eyes tenderly. Then he gathers her into his arms, holding her with so much care.
“You give a signal if it becomes overwhelming and we’ll stop the whole plan. Kashi won’t want you hurt or burned out,” he tells her lovingly, eyes burning with affection.
Pinky smiles, rises on her toes to kiss him.
“I love you,” she whispers, then steps back, sucking in a quiet breath before plastering on her professional smile. She shifts into acting mode and walks onto the stage, and a loud wave of jubilation erupts instantly.
go to the CCTV room. Come on,” Quince says, and we head out.
“Let’s go
Through the hall, then into the large door of the CCTV room. Wrinks and Mr. Gerald are already seated, ready to take notes. Two detectives from Wrinks‘ team are stationed outside, watching and communicating with us through headphones.
The other lady on my team stands behind Mr. Gerald, also watching the screens displaying the live footage of Pinky waving at her fans.
After the cheers die down, she walks into the fan–meeting hall. A large, ventilated, private place. We chose it carefully, a perfect place to apprehend Brown Fash. Behind closed doors around the hall, security guards

wait, ready for orders.
The first fan who enters is a little lad, holding out a stuffed toy to Pinky.
“Thank you, Miss Pinky. For making Cradle Cradle,” he says sweetly, and I swallow hard.

Cradle Cradle is a comedy series for young minds. Pinky starred as the female lead, and it brought her massive fame.
She did it for six years after Eshan refused to let her take romance roles. They argued, but she eventually agreed and made her comeback with Cradle Cradle. Like a light in a dark tunnel, it became the best TV show, earning her countless young fans and tonight, that popularity will benefit us.
Tonight, we will apprehend…
“Snow… Snow!”
My name snaps me back to reality. I blink quickly and see everyone leaning toward the screen.
I move closer, Silence fills the room. My heart lunges into my
throat.
Brown Fash.
He is here with Angelic, his daughter.
“Jackpot!” Mr. Gerald exclaims before he can stop himself, and we exchange relieved smiles. But we wait. It’s too early to celebrate.
We watch quietly. My eyes slide to the time.
I had blacked out in my thoughts for sixteen minutes.
That’s strange.
“My goodness, Angel. You’re here tonight again?” Pinky coos at Angelic, pulling her in for a hug. The beautiful, frail little girl smiles wanly, her head covered in a warm cap.
“I have to. I couldn’t believe when I saw the news. Miss Pinky Pie thinks a lot about her fans. I begged my dad to bring me.”
Pinky smiles at the child and then shifts her gaze to Brown Fash, dressed in a too–fine suit, a briefcase in hand, eyes darting around like a man terrified of the unknown.
That’s when Pinky decides it’s time.
“Of course I think of my fans,” she tells Angelic, who giggles happily. “How about this. How about I announce you as my best fan of the year? We can go on a vacation together, and…”
“I appreciate that, Miss Pinky,” Brown Fash cuts in shakily, rubbing his fingers together in panic. “But please, I’ll decline. She only came for your autograph and we will be out.”
“Oh really?” Pinky murmurs. “That’s a shame then. I wish I could take you on vacation with me, Angel, but daddy won’t accept.”
Angelic nods sadly.

“Yes, Daddy is sad and we have to leave the city. When we get to the new city, will you take me on vacation then, Miss Pinky?”
At this, Pinky bites her lower lip and looks at Brown Fash. He is shivering, uncomfortable. She steps forward.
“Sir, are you okay?”
“I’m fine. Do the autograph so we can leave.” Brown Fash responds hurriedly, but Pinky won’t let it go.
“I think you should…”
“The autograph!” he snaps suddenly, slapping her extended hand away.
Eshan loses it.
He can’t just stand there while a deranged man, a witness who might also be a criminal tries to hurt his
woman.
