“Great, can I see your feet, sweety?” Rania caressed her head and Bella looked at her curiously, as she pulled out her legs from under the blanket, showing them to her.

Rania inspected her feet. The color had returned, even though there were still a few little blotches here and there, but she was sure this little girl would be fine.

“You will be fine in a few days.” Rania caressed Bella’s cheek.

What she said made the little girl’s eyes lit up. “Really? Can I play again outside? Can I go out again?”

“Only if you are good taking the medicine and you eat all of your food,” Eli said, her voice was stern, but her eyes filled with love for her daughter.

It was amazing to see how Eli loved her daughter despite knowing how she conceived her. The baby was innocent after all.

However, seeing the interaction between Bella and Eli made her heart hurt. She felt a huge hole in her chest, an emptiness that would never be fulfilled.

“Meet me in the afternoon at the kitchen, I will teach you how to make a concoction for Bella.” Rania smiled at Eli, who thanked her profusely.
