“Sorry,” Maximus said lightly, but there was no regret in his voice whatsoever, if anything, he sounded happy, to be able to do that to his gamma.

“Ugh.” Eiten scratched his head that was not itchy and then finished his meal. The food didn’t taste good, but when he thought it was the food that his mate made, suddenly, it tasted better.

After that, just like what Eiten had promised, he went to the kitchen, right in the same place where he met with Bella yesterday. He brought a good chunk of meat that was still warm and then waited for the little girl.

“I feel so stupid.” He squatted down, while leaning his back against the wall, staring at the blue sky above him. “What I actually am doing here?” He questioned his life now.

When Eiten was contemplating to leave, suddenly he felt the nuage on his arm and when he lifted his head, he saw Bella was staring at him with her big eyes, she grinned cheekily.
