Chapter 285
“Is he going to die?” Bella asked in a small voice, she looked at her mother with tears in her eyes, she looked very scared.
It was understandable, after all, Bella had witnessed the brutality of the beasts, who had attacked the royal gamma and had every intention to hurt her too.
If it was not for him, Bella would have died without any doubt.
“No, he will not. He will live.” Eli took a deep breath and wiped the tears from her eyes. “He must to live.”
Eli then took a towel and then drenched it in the water before she wrung it and then use the damp towel to wipe Eiten’s body. The dry blood still left on his skin and he looked very pale, because he lost so much blood.
Replenishing blood lost was the same like healing a broken bone, it would take longer time than any superficial wounds. Therefore, Eiten was still unconscious right now.
Eli attentively wiped Eiten’s body, while Bella was watching them. She looked very sad. She wanted the kind man to wake up.
“Please, wake up. Please…” Eli begged Eiten to open his eyes, but of course, the gamma was too deep in his sleep to notice her
presence, let alone to hear her.
“Mama, don’t cry.” Bella hugged Eli, she started crying as well because she saw her mother was crying heartily. “Don’t cry. mama…” she sobbed even more.
“It’s okay, mama it’s okay. Don’t cry, baby…” Eli kissed her daughter and hugged her a little bit tighter.
However, her little girl was crying even harder, because she could feel the turmoil and the rage of sadness that waved over her mother.
“Don’t cry, baby. It’s okay.” Eli kissed Bella’s cheeks and wiped her tears. “Don’t cry my baby… he is a good man, the Moon Goddess will not let any harm befall o him.”
Bella nodded her head. “He is a good, he is nice to give me meat.”
“Meat?” Eli furrowed her brows. “What meat?

Rania was walking back with Rona when she saw Maximus was on his way to check Eiten’s condition. He walked faster when he saw Rania.
Seeing the king, Rona immediately fell on her step, she was two steps behind Ruby when Maximus reached his mate.
“Are you going to meet with Eiten?” Rania asked curiously.
“Yes.”
Rania shook her head. “He is fine, but it will be better for you to give him some alone time.”
Maximus frowned at her suggestion. “Why?” He was confused, but even so, Maximus didn’t argue when Rania took him to the opposite direction and walked away from the infirmary, where Eiten was laying unconscious.
“I will tell you.” Rania then glanced at Rona, who lowered her head. She then nodded at her, indicating that the omega could
leave.
Rona then walked back towards the infirmary, while Lucian and Came are walking a few steps away from the king and the
queen.
Chapter 285
“Eiten’s‘ mate is inside the infirmary. I think he will be happier to see his mate, instead of you,” Rania teased Maximus, and then she told her mate everything.
However, Maximus didn’t seem to bother that he couldn’t see his royal gamma, or even surprised. For him, as long as Eiten was alive and he would recover, that was enough.
“What are you doing roaming around the pack house when there is an attack?” Maximus narrowed his eyes at Rania and she knew that she would be in a trouble.
“I was worried about Eiten, so I came here right away. Cam and Lucian came with me too. There is no need for you to worry.”
But, Rania could see that the excuse was not good enough for Maximus, he was still pissed because she put my life in danger.
In this case, there was only one way to appease him. Rania tiptoed and then kissed him on the lips. “Don’t be angry,” she said in a small voice.
“Do you think a kiss can make my anger go away?” Maximus stared his mate intensely. His expression showed nothing: therefore, it was hard to read him.
So, a kiss wouldn’t appease him? What about two?
Rania then tiptoed to kiss him again. “Sorry,” she said softly.
However, Maximus then put his hand behind Rania’s back and then pulled her closer to kiss her even deeper.
Rania widened her eyes because Lucian and Cam were still around and this kiss… was a little bit…
Yet, Maximus didn’t care. He kissed her as he pleased and even pressed her against the wall. He yanked her head back, so he could get more access of her.
Crazy. Maximus was crazy with the way he kissed her. It was… exhilarating.
At first, Rania was reserved, because there was someone else around them, but Maximus was too intense for her.
It didn’t take long before she lost in their passionate kiss and she couldn’t care less about everything around her. The only thing in her mind was Maximus. There was only him.
Rania breathed deeply when Maximus touched her breast, but then he stopped all of sudden and pulled away.
Still a little bit dizzy, Rania opened her eyes with Maximus pressed his forehead against hers.
“Can’t let them see you like this,” Maximus said in a hoarse voice. He wanted her, he wanted her so bad and there was no doubt in it, but they were in public. There was no way in hell Maximus would let someone else witness his beautiful mate got her pleasure. “Let me shimmer down for a while.”
Maximus breathed heavily, he grunted in annoyance because he couldn’t have her right there and then, since there were a few things that he had to handle, especially now when Eiten was out cold.
If it was up to him, he would carry Rania back to their bedroom and made love to her until she forgot everything.
“Heaven, you will be the death of me…”
