The moon becomes embarrassed in front of the woman your eyes choose. When you look at her, she shines like the epitome of beauty; her laughter turns into the melody of serenity, and her very existence whispers the reason why everything exists.
“What are you doing, Your Majesty?” Lorenzo walked toward me as I stood there, admiring the woman who had stolen my sleep.
I didn’t look up, my gaze still fixed on Roana as she spoke with Serra and the other elite she-wolves about internal affairs. Her expressions were calm yet focused, her hands moving subtly as she spoke, commanding attention without demanding
“Nothing. Just admiring,” I replied.
Lorenzo chuckled softly as he stopped beside me. “She awakened her final form right after Tyran declared your death. Draken said it was the result of intense anguish, agony, and pain
“I see,” I smiled faintly. “She looks so pure now. As if even looking at her would be a sin.”
As I stared at her, she suddenly looked up, her eyes finding mine instantly, as though she had felt my gaze long before she saw me. Then she shouted, “Instead of standing there, how about you walk in the garden? The sun is missing you, you know!”
A playful smirk tugged at my lips. “Oops. Sorry. I was too busy admiring the moon that I forgot there was a sun outside.”
Her face went from snow-white to a deep tomato red as she shot me a death glare, her lips pressing together in an effort to hide her embarrassment.
“Aww! His Majesty is so romantic!” the servants laughed, teasing her openly.
“Ladies,” I said lightly, “can you let my Moon come upstairs? You’ve been keeping her occupied the entire morning.”
“Your Majesty, you are too much. Beta Lorenzo, please take him outside. He needs to walk a bit,” she said, crossing her arms as if to shield herself from the attention.
“Maybe my Moon can take me to meet the sun.”
Everyone laughed. Roana’s face turned even redder as she shook her head, biting her lip to keep from smiling.
After waking up and realizing that I hadn’t died, there was one thing I felt endlessly grateful for. That was her. If she hadn’t helped me come out of my berserk state, I might have remained caged inside that defense mechanism for years
At the end of the day, she was what I needed-in my happiest, sldest, and worst moments. Every second of my life, I wanted to dedicate it to her alone.
With Lorenzo’s help, I slowly walked downstairs. I had thought would be fine, but after everything that had happened, my body was excessively weak. Every step felt heavier than it should have been, my muscles protesting quietly
I had heard about my brother, Carl, helping Estella to help me ven though I knew my parents and brother had never loved me and had abandoned me, I didn’t hold any grudge. Still, Carleminded me of the darkest memories-memories that could easily stir Cyrus’s temper.
Roana was strongly against me meeting Carl right now. She believed his presence might have triggered my long-term shifting. Maybe it had.

I would rather respect my woman’s wishes than attempt to make amends with people who had caused me so much pain.
Just to chase after so-called family, I had almost abandoned the woman who had done everything to find me.
This time, no more mistakes.
“What are you thinking?” Roana’s voice pulled me out of my thoughts. She walked toward me and gently held my arm, instinctively adjusting her pace to mine as she guided me outsid
“Nothing,” I grinned playfully.
“I see. I have a lot of things to talk about. Will you fall asleep again?” she smirked, teasing me about the basement.
“You don’t have to tease me. I’m ashamed,” I said, trying to act cute, but she was the one who blushed instead, her fingers tightening briefly around my arm.
“I’m not teasing,” she whispered. “That moment was the best moment of my life. You should have marked me then.”
“Why?” I winked. “I thought you loved every moment we shared together.”
She lightly hit my chest, the touch soft and hesitant. “You talk too much. Of course I loved everything. It’s just-” Her smile slowly faded, her shoulders sinking. “Those times, I felt like I was violating the very first condition of our contract. Every time, I feared I was reaching for someone else’s man. It wasn’t pleasant… thinking that at the end of the day, you might belong to someone else.”
Tears shimmered in her eyes as she looked up at me, her gaze unwavering. “But that time, when I found you alive, calling me yours… I knew then. That time, you were mine. Solely mine.”
My eyes widened. My chest tightened. I pulled her into my arms holding her close as if letting go would hurt us both, and pressed a kiss to the top of her head.
“I’m sorry.”
“Please don’t,” she whispered, her fingers clutching the fabric of hy clothes. “You don’t have to apologize for anything.”
She looked up at me, her purplish-blue eyes like the ocean at dusk, deep and endless. I kissed her eyelids gently, lingering there. How could I ever explain everything I felt for her?
I didn’t know. I didn’t think I could translate those emotions into words at all.
God. Holding her like that, feeling time slipping past us, I wanted to hide her inside my chest-away from pain, away from loss, away from the world.
Before I collapsed onto that floor, all I had wanted was to see her one last time, whether in a dream or reality. To hear her heartbeat. To feel her warmth.
Now she was here.
Mine.
We walked toward the garden together. The secret passage commcted to that place had already been blocked.
Lorenzo briefly explained everything to me, including Kyros’s pu and the others involved.
Although the war was still ongoing, Roana had already controlled the first person who had created the chaos.
“Sit here,” Roana said softly, guiding me toward the bench. Her and stayed on my arm a second longer than necessary, as if she feared I might disappear again. She brushed the surface of the bench carefully, even though it was already clean, then helped me sit, her movements gentle, almost reverent.

She stood in front of me for a moment, watching my breathing, her brows knitting slightly as if memorizing the sight of me upright, alive, here.
“Tomorrow,” she said quietly, “can you stand before your people They’re waiting for their King.”
I tilted my head back and pouted, leaning forward until my forehead pressed against her stomach. The warmth of her body seeped into me instantly, grounding me. “Do I have to give a speech?”
