Daddy Alpha I’m In Heat (Lily and Connor) novel Chapter 48

Lily

France. Holy freaking France. Real baguette–smelling, cobblestone–street France.

Oh yeah we didn’t use the boat. Since it took people to their various places. We took a plane instead.

You’re trembling, my wolf whispered, lazy and smug. He hasn’t even touched you yet and you’re trembling.

Shut up. Shut up. Shut up.

My bra strap slid down my arm again and I yanked it up while trying to keep up with Connor’s impossible stride.

Bella rolled her eyes like she’d been assigned the role of long–suffering chaperone from hell.

“Oh my God, stop staring at everything,” Bella hissed. “You look like a tourist on her first field trip.”

“I am on my first field trip,” I whispered back before my brain could stop me. “And it’s France. Sorry if my eyeballs are excited.”

She clicked her tongue. “Pathetic.”

Connor’s voice cut through the crowd. “Both of you. Keep up.”

My knees almost buckled. Why did his voice have to do that to me? It was like a pressure point behind my ribs.

“Stop calling me pumpkin in public,” I muttered, cheeks burning.

“I didn’t,” he said without looking back. “Yet.”

Bella snorted. “Oh please. You’re ridiculous.”

I laughed. Actually laughed. “Ridiculous? Funny, because he didn’t look ridiculous when he had me begging for him last night.”

Her mouth dropped open like I’d just slapped her with a frying pan.

Connor’s hand twitched at his side, the corner of his mouth curving into that slow dangerous smile that made my knees weak.

“Pumpkin,” he drawled low enough just for me, “you really want to rub it in, don’t you?”

My wolf purred, delighted. Yes, rub it in. Make her choke on it.

I leaned forward in the seat, eyes wide and fake–innocent. “Maybe I am ridiculous. Ridiculous enough to make your dad groan into my neck until he lost his breath. Want me to describe it for you? Every sound?”

Bella’s whole face went crimson. “You’re a messed up bitch!”

“Am I?” I tilted my head, heartbeat roaring. “Or are you just mad he likes hearing me better than he’s ever listened to you?”

Connor’s chuckle rumbled. “Careful, pumpkin,” he murmured, his hand brushing my knee under the excuse of adjusting his seatbelt. “You’ll break her before we even reach the penthouse.”

“Oh, I’m not done,” I said sweetly, turning just enough so Bella could see the heat in my face and know it wasn’t a bluff.

“Want me to tell you what he whispered in my ear while you were pounding on the door last night? How he told me I was dripping down his fingers, how he called me his good girl while you cried outside?”

Bella made a strangled sound, half fury, half heartbreak.

I leaned back, pretending to sigh, my arms folded tight to.keep from shaking. “So yeah, ridiculous,” I said softly, but with enough venom to sting. “Ridiculous enough that your dad nearly lost his mind inside me. Ridiculous enough he’ll still want me when you’re nothing but noise in the background.”

Connor’s fingers tightened on my knee, squeezing until I bit my lip. His smile curved sharp and satisfied. “That mouth,” he said, voice rich with approval. “It’s going to get you in trouble.”

I grinned back, dizzy with the thrill and the shame twined together. “Then punish me,” I whispered, my voice meant for him but loud enough that Bella’s gasp filled the car.

“Oh my God!” Bella shrieked, slamming her palms against her legs. “You’re sick, Lily! Both of you are sick!”

Bella was still sputtering in the corner, cheeks blotchy red, arms crossed so hard I thought she’d snap her own ribs. Connor hadn’t moved his hand from my knee the entire ride, like it belonged there, heavy and claiming.

And me? My head was doing that awful pinball thing again, bouncing from shame to thrill to wolf to oh God France to oh God his fingers, while my mouth couldn’t shut up if it tried.

Keep going, my wolf hummed, tail flicking lazily. She can’t handle it. You’re the one he wants. She’s just baggage.

I bit down on a grin, turned to Bella. “Do you think the neighbors in the penthouse will complain?”

Her eyes narrowed. “What?”

“You know…” I lifted a brow, my cheeks heating even as the words poured out of me. “About how loud I get.”

Bella’s jaw dropped, then snapped shut with a click. “You’re vile.”

Connor’s smirk deepened, his thumb sliding slow over my knee. “She’s honest,” he corrected, voice low and sharp. “That’s what makes her irresistible.”

Good girl, my wolf purred. Say more. Break her.

We were at the penthouse in no time. One minute we were squeezing into the elevator, the next the doors sighed open and we walked into a whole other world.

Connor didn’t bother to wait for a minute. He closed the door behind us as he put his hands in his pockets and then he looked at Bella.

“Bella. You do not barge into my room. Not now, not ever. If you walk in on me with her, you will regret it. This won’t be like the last time.”

Bella’s lips twisted. “You can’t talk to me like that, I’m your..”

“My what?”

And that was my moment. God help me, I couldn’t resist. My mouth always burns the world down before my brain can stop it.

I leaned against the glass wall, smiling with all my teeth. “Go ahead, Bella. Walk in. You’ll just find me on my knees with his fist in my hair while he groans my name so loud the neighbors think it’s thunder.

Is that what you want? To see your best friend on her knees with your dad’s dick in her mouth”

Her face drained. Then flushed. Then tightened.

“You’re vile.”

“Oh, honey,” I purred.

More, my wolf whispered, tail curling smugly. Don’t stop now. Rip her apart.

“You’re not angry because I’m vile. You’re angry because I’m right.”

Connor’s hand found my hip, squeezing once, hard enough to brand. His smirk cut toward Bella, slow and smug. “She’s honest,” he said. “I like her honesty”

“Oh fuck,” I gasped, because of course my body betrayed me, heat flooding everywhere. My wolf laughed, rolling belly–up inside my head. Good girl. Keep spitting fire. He loves it.

I tilted my head, watching Bella with mock sympathy. “Do you know what it’s like, Bella? To be the reason a man like him loses control? To feel him shaking while he mutters good girl against your skin? No. You don’t. And you never will.”

Her fists curled, nails digging into her palms until she shook.

“She warned you. I warned you. Don’t test us.”

I grinned wider, reckless. “Or do. Maybe you like watching, Bella. Maybe that’s all you’re good for.”

Bella stood frozen, fists balled, face blotchy with rage. Then his hand slid down on me. Fuck. Over my hip, down my thigh, and pressed bold and claiming between my legs.

Right there. In front of her.

“Oh fuck,” I gasped, my knees actually giving out for half a second before I caught myself on the marble counter.

“Connor..you can’t–oh God, you can–she’s right there, she’s watching, she can see your hand–oh my God.”

My wolf stretched inside me, purring with wicked delight. Yes. Let her see. Let her choke on it. You’re his proof, not her.

“Dad! What the actual hell..”

Connor didn’t even glance at her. His eyes locked on me, his thumb pressing just enough to make my breath tear in half. “Do you see how she trembles for me?” His voice was velvet and razors all at once. “This is what honesty looks like, Bella. She doesn’t hide what she is.”

“Stop it!” Bella spat, but her voice wavered. “She’s sick..you’re both sick!”

And my mouth, oh God, my mouth just wouldn’t shut. Words came tumbling like a waterfall I couldn’t stop. “No, I’m not sick, Bella–I’m alive and every nerve in my body is on fire because of him. You think I care if you’re standing there? You think shame is enough to stop me? It’s not. It never was.”

Connor’s smirk curved slow, satisfied. His palm pressed harder, making me whimper so loud I wanted to swallow my own tongue.

Good girl, my wolf crooned, delighted. Say more. Burn her alive with every word.

I turned my head, met Bella’s horrified stare, and smiled through the heat blazing my face. “You want the truth? Here it is: your father makes me scream so loud the walls shake. And when I come apart for him, I pray you hear it. I pray you sit outside that door, knowing you’ll never be the one he breaks like this.”

Bella flinched like I’d stabbed her. “You’re disgusting!”

Connor’s mouth brushed the shell of my ear.

“Careful, pumpkin,” he murmured, words meant for me but loud enough for her. “That tongue of yours is going to earn you more than just my hand.”

“Oh fuck,” I moaned, clinging to the counter.

“Please–yes–God, I can’t stop-”

Bella’s voice broke out and you could tell she was furious. “I hate you!”

And God help me, instead of shutting up, I moaned. Loud. Too loud.

“Oh fuck, Connor..” I gasped, clawing at his wrist, my words tumbling faster than my lungs could keep up.

“She hates me, she hates me so much, and I still can’t stop. You’re touching me and I’m falling apart in front of her and I can’t even care, oh God I don’t want to care, I just want..”

My wolf howled with delight. Yes. Give it to her. Make her watch. Make her bleed from the inside while you moan louder.

Then it hit.

A clap.

“Well, well, well…So now you’re fucking your daughters best friend huh Connor”

Fuck.

“What the fuck…who’s…”

And then she stepped out. From the shadowed hall.

Shit.

Bella’s mum.

Connor’s ex–wife.

The world tilted. My lungs froze, but my mouth didn’t. “Oh my God,” I whispered, then laughed, half–hysterical, half–high. “Oh my God, no, this can’t–this is insane–what the actual fuck..”

Bella shrieked like her throat was breaking. “Mum?! Finally you’re here!”
