Daddy Alpha I’m In Heat (Lily and Connor) novel Chapter 66

~Lily~

My stomach dropped so hard I almost lost my balance. Connor’s hand was still around Emma’s throat, his fingers tight, his stance wide and furious, but his gaze was locked on me.

Only me. He looked like the entire world had narrowed down to the space between my heartbeat and his breath. He didn’t blink. He didn’t move.

He looked at me like I had gutted him.

Emma struggled in his grip, her heels dragging across the floor, clawing at his arm, but Connor didn’t even glance at her.

His knuckles were white, his jaw tight, and the second his eyes landed on my face..my flushed cheeks, my parted lips, my trembling chest..his hold on her loosened.

She collapsed to the floor, coughing and gasping, crumbling like paper beneath the weight of what she just witnessed. She backed away from him like she had seen a monster wearing her son’s face,

but she didn’t make a sound. She didn’t dare.

Because he wasn’t looking at her.

He was still looking at me.

He didn’t speak. He didn’t yell. He didn’t ask what happened. He just stared at me, and the depth of I what I saw in his expression made my throat close.

Because I knew what he saw.

He saw how close I was standing to Alex.

He saw the red still high in my cheeks.

He saw the way my body leaned into Alex without me realizing it, the way my breathing stuttered, the way my lips were still swollen from almost kissing someone I shouldn’t even be thinking about.

And I saw it–the exact second the softness in Connor’s eyes died.

The moment the betrayal sank into his skin like poison.

The moment he realized I wasn’t the same girl who said “forever” in his arms anymore.

My heart cracked.

“Lily,”

I opened my mouth, but I didn’t know what to say. There were no words for what I’d done. No sentence that could explain the war happening inside me. My love for Connor was real. Buried in every cell of my body.

“Why are you standing that close to him?“,

I took a shallow breath. “Connor, it’s not..”

“Don’t lie to me,” he said.

Alex stepped forward then, standing in front of me like a shield. “Get out!.”

Connor’s head turned, slow and sharp. “I wasn’t talking to you.”

“And I’m talking to you,” Alex said. “Don’t take this out on her.”

Connor’s eyes darkened. “Move.”

“No,” Alex said calmly.

“Move,” Connor repeated, louder this time, jaw tight.

Alex didn’t budge. His shoulders were squared.

And then Connor looked back at me.

His voice was softer than ever. “Lily, tell him to move. Tell him to step away from you.”

I froze.

I wanted to say it.

God, I wanted to say it.

But I didn’t.

Because I couldn’t.

Because my body didn’t want him to move.

Because every nerve in me was still singing from Alex’s presence.

And that was all the answer Connor needed.

His face fell.

His eyes dimmed.

His breath caught like it hurt to inhale.

“Okay,” he whispered.

He looked away, and that was somehow worse than if he had screamed.

Worse than if he had hit something.

Worse than if he had shifted into his wolf and howled until the house came down.

Because he didn’t do any of those things.

He just… stopped.

Like I had turned off the light inside him.

“Connor,” I said, stepping forward, panic choking my voice. “Please don’t..”

“Don’t fix it,” he said, backing up a step. “Not now. Not like this. You’re standing in front of me like

I’m a stranger. Like you don’t know what we’ve been through. Like everything we’ve shared means less than a look.”

Tears filled my eyes. “It doesn’t mean less..”

“But it doesn’t mean enough,” he said quietly.

“I came here ready to kill Emma,” he said. “Because she hurt you. I came here ready to destroy anything that stood in my way just to find you. Just to make sure you were safe. I thought something had happened to you. I thought I was too late.”

His lips trembled.

“I didn’t think I was too late because you fell for someone else.”

My knees buckled.

He turned toward the door, hands shaking.

“Connor,” I whispered, “please…”

“Please. Don’t go. Don’t walk away from me. Not like this.”

He didn’t turn around. His back was still to me. His hand was on the doorframe like he was trying to hold himself upright. His shoulders were rising and falling with the kind of breathing you when you’re trying not to fall apart in front of the only person who could break you. do

“I don’t want to hurt you,”. “But I have to tell you the truth.”

He stayed silent.

I swallowed hard.

“He’s my mate,” I whispered.

Connor’s shoulders went rigid.

But before I could stop myself, before I could soften it or explain or try to make it less cruel, the rest of the truth came tumbling out of my mouth like it had been waiting to be set free.

“And so are you.”

Connor turned slowly. Not quickly. Not with rage. Not with disbelief. But slowly. Like a man trying to convince himself he misheard the end of the world.

“What did you just say to me?” he asked.

I blinked through the burning in my eyes. My throat felt like it was being crushed.

“I didn’t want this to happen,” I said. “I didn’t even think it was real at first. But I feel it.

“I know you feel the bond too, Connor,” I whispered, breath trembling, heart pounding so loud I could barely think.

He didn’t move.

He just stood there, eyes locked on mine like he was trying to stop time with his stare alone.

I took a step forward, voice barely above a breath. “You feel it. I know you do.”

He blinked slowly. “Did y’all fuck yet?”

My lips parted. My throat closed. I nodded.

He exhaled so harshly it sounded like a growl.

“Yes,” I whispered. “We fucked.”

He stepped forward.

“How hard did he fuck you?” His voice was low, deadly, thick with jealousy that made my knees weak. “Was it better than me?”

I shook my head, but he wasn’t done.

“Answer me,” he snapped. “Was it better than when I fuck you?”

“No,” I whispered.

“Did you scream for him?”

“Yes.”

“Did he make you come?”

I swallowed. “Yes.”

He slammed me against the wall with one hand gripping my hip, the other flat beside my head, his chest pinning mine in place so I could feel how hard he already was through his jeans.

“Fuck this double mate shit,” he growled. “You’re mine.”

“Connor..”

“You’re fucking mine, Lily. I don’t give a fuck if he’s your mate. You can’t share my pussy with another man just because of some magical bullshit bond. I’ll kill him. I swear to God I will.”

He grabbed my jaw, forcing my eyes up to his. “You want me to lose it? You want me to snap?

Keep talking about how good he fucked you.”

I whimpered.

“No one gets to fuck you like I do. No one makes you drip like this.” He shoved his knee between my thighs. “You’re soaking wet for me, aren’t you?”

“Yes,” I moaned.

“Now come with me”

“She’s not going anywhere. Alex growled.

Connor paused mid–step. He smirked. And Just tilted his head slightly, like a man about to unleash hell.

“Lily,” he said without raising his voice, without looking at me, “you’ve got two minutes.”

His fingers curled into fists at his sides.

“If you’re mine, meet me outside that door. If not..stay.”

He walked off.

Just like that.

My breath caught.

Alex turned to me immediately, eyes wide. “Lily..”

“I have to go.”

“You can’t go,” he said.

“You can’t leave me like this, Lily. I am your mate too.”

“I know,” I whispered, breath shaking. “You are.”

My voice broke as I added, “But he’s my first.”

Alex flinched like I had slapped him across the face. His jaw clenched. His throat worked around a silent swallow. And then, something inside him snapped.

Not the kind of snap that made you scare’d.

The kind that made you want to drop to your knees.

His eyes darkened to a shade I’d never seen before. His grip on my wrist tightened. His body moved so close I could feel the heat of his obsession radiating into me like a fever.

“Then I’ll be your last.”

My lips parted.

He stepped closer.

“You think I’ll let him keep you just because he was there first?” he whispered, his voice low and shaking with need. “You think I’ll back down because of some stupid fucking timeline?”

“I don’t care if he kissed you first. I don’t care if he made you moan first. I don’t care if he touched you before I even knew you existed.”

He lowered his head until his breath was warm and dangerous against my ear.

“You’re mine now, Lily. Mine. And I will never fucking let you go.”

My breath caught.

Alex pulled back just enough to meet my eyes, and I saw it..everything. The madness. The devotion. The hunger. The fucking need to be the one who owned me. Body and soul. Forever.

“I don’t share,” he whispered. “I kill for what’s mine.”

His hand slid down my waist.

“And if it means killing him just to have you…”

Alex’s voice wasn’t a threat.

It was a vow.

His lips brushed mine, just soft enough to make me ache, just close enough to make me freeze.

“I will, Lily. Don’t test me.”

The air in my chest collapsed.

My wolf whimpered inside me, twisting with heat, claws scratching at my ribs like she wanted out.

Like she wanted to be touched by both of them. Owned by both of them. She was pacing in circles in my head, snarling and purring at the same time.

(Let them fight for us. Let them bleed. Let them fuck us until we break.)

I was shaking. Not from fear.

From how wet I was.

From how hard my nipples were against the fabric of my dress.

From how my body responded to his obsession like it was made for it.

Because I didn’t doubt him.

Not for a second.

Alex would kill Connor if I let him.

He would tear him apart with his bare hands just to taste me again. Just to hear me whimper his name while I came on his cock. Just to mark me, claim me, ruin me until I couldn’t remember any other man’s touch.

My thighs clenched.

My breathing stuttered.

“Alex,” I whispered, but it came out like a moan.

He dragged his thumb across my bottom lip. “You think he loves you like I do?”

I couldn’t answer.

Because I didn’t know.

Because Connor was my first. But Alex was the fire I wasn’t supposed to touch.

And my wolf was screaming now.

(You want them both. You feel it. You need it. Let them destroy each other for you. Let them destroy you together.)

Alex’s voice dropped even lower. “You belong to me, Lily. I don’t care if he saw you first. I don’t care if he kissed you first. I will be the last man inside you. I will be the last one to hear you scream.”

I gasped.

My cunt clenched so hard I almost collapsed.

And then.. there was a bang on the door.
