Ignoring its injuries, the King Cobra opened its massive jaws wide, ready to swallow Chloe whole.
Even though it was badly hurt, it was still incredibly fast. In just 0.1 seconds, it closed in on her, locking her in its sights.
It lunged forward with a ferocious chomp. As the King Cobra slithered past Chloe, her figure suddenly vanished.
A flash of triumph flickered in its eyes. ‘That bitch. I’m going to swallow her whole before I die, the King Cobra thought. ‘Wait, what?‘ Why is my mouth empty? Is she too tiny to even notice?‘
As the King Cobra was still confused, a crushing force suddenly pressed down from above. It glanced up, and the world seemed to shift, clouds churned, the sky darkened, and everything felt charged with danger.
Overhead, thick storm clouds loomed, heavy and ominous, while powerful lightning crackled and danced through the sky.
Not far away, Filip stood with lightning swirling at his fingertips, his expression cold. “Go,” he ordered.
Countless lightning bolts fused into one, forming a massive, twisting spear of electricity that shot straight for the King Cobra’s wounded spot.
The King Cobra was fast, but the lightning was even faster.
It didn’t even have a chance to dodge. The lightning blasted right through King Cobra’s wound, ripping through its entire body.
Its huge body contorted and jerked as electricity crackled and sizzled everywhere.
It cried out in pain. Before the King Cobra could even strike, Chloe appeared out of nowhere right above its head.
“Freeze!” Chloe yelled.
With a fierce shout, the King Cobra’s massive body was instantly transformed into an ice snake, frozen solid. The temperature around them dropped in a flash.
The blazing 122 F heatwave vanished, replaced by bone–chilling sub–zero air.
And the King Cobra itself was hit with a temperature drop so extreme, its body was at least -1,800 F
For five seconds, everything stopped. The ice encasing the King Cobra started to splinter, bit by bit, exposing its stiff, numb body as it frantically tried to break free.
“Chloe, get out of the way!” Mindy called out. Before she could finish, an Inferno erupted, engulfing the King Cobra’s body as soon as it broke free from the ice.
Agonized screams echoed from within Inferno, relentless and piercing.
Just freezing the King Cobra wasn’t enough to kill it, and burning it with fire alone wouldn’t do the trick either
However, Chloe wielded extreme cold, while Mindy commanded Inferno.
One was blazing hot, the other was bone–chillingly cold, with temperatures soaring over 1800°F and plunging well below
-3,600 F.
Caught between these two extremes, the King Cobra was forced to endure the true hell of fire and ice, frozen solid one moment, then roasted alive the next.

Its frozen body was then roasted in the Inferno, and even its toughest scales shattered under the combined assault.
Soon, the King Cobra’s once–proud scales fell off, leaving it as nothing more than a giant, writhing worm. Even its deadly fangs fell out from the extreme pain.
Its massive body writhed on the ground for a few more minutes before it finally died.
The mutant snakes that had been pouring in through the gates in waves immediately ceased their assault on the humans.
An overwhelming terror swept through the snake horde. Soon, it faded as quickly, leaving nothing but chaos and wreckage.
Phantom Zombie stared at the King Cobra lying dead on the ground and gulped.
‘Babe, I will get you something tastier next time, alright?” Jagger said, shooting a look of disdain at King Cobra’s body.
Phantom Zombie gave a pitiful, teary–eyed look. “I still wanna eat it.”
She couldn’t understand it. She could’ve finished off that King Cobra in a single move, but Chloe insisted on taking matters into her own hands, making it way more complicated and almost getting hurt.
Anyway, Phantom Zombie just couldn’t figure it out, so she gave up thinking about it altogether. She gazed at the King Cobra, practically drooling. ‘I wanna eat it‘
agger couldn’t help but melt when she gave him that cute, puppy–eyed look.
Chloe, is it okay if Phantom Zombie eats it?” Jagger asked hopefully.
‘Sure,” she replied.
Phantom Zombie clapped her hands and jumped around excitedly, happy as a little kid.
Her body looked almost human now, but she still thought just like a six–year–old kid.
Chloe gave Andrew a solid kick. ‘Another one of my old enemies down,’ she thought with satisfaction. Just one left, the third place on the Top List.
With all the enemies wiped out and the danger gone, all that remained was a mountain of snake corpses.
In this apocalypse, where supplies were scarce, snake meat had become a rare and tasty delicacy.
After the overwhelming sadness faded, everyone felt a surge of happiness.
The rest of the survivors got patched up in the clinic, and Chloe used her powers to heal them. Before long, everyone was as good as new and full of life.
They worked through the night to clean up and deal with all the snake bodies.
A few military trucks finally rolled in, and when the soldiers saw everyone busy with the cleanup, they jumped right in to help out.
“Looks like we’ve got plenty of snakes. Snake soup is my specialty, one of the soldiers said with a grin.
At the mention of snake soup, some folks couldn’t help but sneak a lick their lips.
Chloe gathered up the families of those who’d lost someone and handed each of them 10,000 points as compensation.

That was enough for a whole family to get by at the base for ages.

She handed off the rest of the cleanup to the base crew and rushed back to her place, itching to organize her haul in her spiritual space.
This trip to Lakeside was a huge win. She’d picked up all sorts of herbs and cores.
There were all sorts of herbs, and the rarest ones were found on the small islands near Lakeside.
She picked up a bunch of seventh–level mutant flowers and mutagenic herbs.
As for the lower–level ones, there were so many that she practically lost count.
Blaze Haven didn’t have many people, so aside from the rare herbs, about ninety percent of the supplies came from the Bluehaven Base team.
For this Lakeside mission, the Bluehaven Base squad didn’t go in at all. They spent the whole time scouting for herbs around Riverside instead.
They needed supplies way more than they needed energy sources from the islands.
And Chloe just happened to have plenty of those.
‘System, turn all mutagenic herbs and mutant flowers below the fifth level into liquid,” Chloe said.
Alright, Host. That’ll cost you 5,000 points,” the system replied.
Okay,” Chloe confirmed.
Chloe placed all the mutagenic liquid and mutant liquid she’d just exchanged onto the special shelves in the supermarket,
ach one clearly labeled with a description.
Chloe glanced at the chaotic mess on the ground and couldn’t help but think, ‘These guys are such a bunch of pigs. They cost a ton of supplies.
she rushed back to her place, barely taking a breath before diving into her spiritual space to check out the energy sources he’d collected.
There was a giant emerald, glowing a deep, vibrant green and absolutely overflowing with energy.
ust being near it for a few seconds made Chloe feel totally refreshed. Her powers, drained from battle, were instantly ‘echarged.
What a treasure,” Chloe murmured.
The system said, “Host, you can expand your base now. Want to do it?”
Chloe didn’t rush to answer. Instead, she strolled over to the rich black soil, admiring the vibrant patch of fruits and veggies She picked a horn melon, wiped it on her shirt, and started munching away, savoring every bite.
After the apocalypse, people would never find fruit this juicy and fresh out in the world anymore.
‘System, I remember you said that after this spiritual space upgrade, my base would reach its limit, including all of Grovenwich, right?” Chloe asked.
‘Yes, Host, the system replied.

Chloe’s eyes twinkled with mischief as she took another bite of the horn melon, chewing slowly and letting its sweet flavor flood her mouth.
“So, how’s the system going to deal with all the zombies and mutant beasts in Grovenwich?” Chloe wondered, genuinely
curious.
Back when the base was small, she could wipe out every mutant beast and zombie inside without much trouble.
But now that the whole Grovenwich area was included, big enough for tens of millions of people and crawling with danger. She thought there was no way the system could clear them all out in one go.
