After all, Janice had only ever had feelings for Wade.
Although she was angry that Wade brought up Chad, she also realized that Wade truly didn't care. Even if he suspected Chad had feelings for her, Wade didn't mind at all. That indifference stabbed straight through her pride.
All the love she had given in the past felt laughable.
Wade didn't want to argue over such topics. He pulled Janice directly to his car.
Opening the door, he took out a small item.
Janice looked down and saw it was the good luck charm he had once lost—the very one she had stayed up all night hiking to get for him.
He actually found it.
Wade shook it in front of her. "I found it. Happy now?"
He wasn't good at comforting people, but he felt he had done what he could.
Janice stared blankly at the charm.
After a long moment, she looked away and said, "My gesture's already been trampled on. Digging this back out feels like scavenging from trash. You'll feel uncomfortable, and so will I."
She didn't take the opening he offered. After saying that, she ignored Wade's darkening expression and turned away.
As Wade watched her retreating figure, he clenched the charm tightly, then quickly masked his expression and got into the car.
Janice had thrown tantrums before, but she always pretended nothing happened and moved on. He was sure that she wouldn't miss their wedding or let him go.
As for his relationship with Alicia, Janice was being unreasonable about that. Wade's kindness to Alicia was partly because of Janice herself.
…
Janice returned home. She was still puzzled and wanted to figure everything out.
However, Grace hadn't returned yet, so Janice decided to work while waiting.
A big part of today's conflict stemmed from Alicia's words. Wade thought Janice was deliberately making things hard for Alicia.
She wouldn't admit to what she hadn't done and refused to let him think that of her for nothing.
The more Janice thought about it, the angrier she got. She grabbed her phone and headed out.
Even if she was going to break off the engagement, she wouldn't just take the blame quietly.
Alicia's words hit her hard now. What seemed like a casual remark actually struck right at her core. It made Janice look like a malicious person.
She had to talk to Wade clearly.
First, to make sure he knew her decision to break off the engagement wasn't just a tantrum.
Second, to tell him that once she decided to let go, she wouldn't cling on. Even without calling off the engagement, she would never stoop so low as to have Alicia design her wedding dress.
She refused to be falsely accused.

Can you give me more chapters please...
Can you give me more chapters? I was hoping for a happy ending with Ariel and Jayson. Janice with Wade, and if not, put her with Chad, Matt, or even Liam....
Nice and amazing story with gripping turns, but can you give more chapters? And please we need more romance as readers, it has been dragging on a lot, maybe romance, happy ending and end it soon....
