After saying that, Janice turned around and strode off.
Meanwhile, Alicia's smile froze. She hadn't expected Janice to be so harsh and direct. Still, she quickly brushed it aside. After all, Janice had only said those things because she was jealous.
As for how other people would make of this situation, Alicia wasn't worried about it since Janice was the only one who knew anyway.
…
Janice's ears were still ringing as she stepped out of the building. She never imagined she would find Alicia at Wade's place. She had always thought the step-siblings' interactions were a little too intimate, but stumbling upon this scene felt absurd.
Whatever the reason, one thing was clear—Wade didn't care about her feelings at all.
Janice no longer wanted to be entangled with these people or their mess. She walked to her car, but just as she was about to get in, another car pulled up beside hers.
Wade stepped out, his brows lifting when he saw her. "What are you doing here?"
Janice clenched her fists as she stared at him. "I forgot that you were busy."
For some reason, her words carried a sharp edge. Wade pursed his lips. "Let's head up to my place first if there's something you want to talk about."
He assumed she had come to make peace, perhaps realizing she had overreacted.
Janice nearly laughed. Did he really expect her to go upstairs? Did he hope she and Alicia would grow closer? He wasn't even bothering to hide their relationship anymore.
"You should reconfirm with Alicia about the wedding dress. I didn't ask my mom to get her involved. It was Alicia's mom who suggested it.
"Don't accuse me of something I didn't do. It was the other party who volunteered to offer their services free of charge. I, on the other hand, won't do something like that—I'm not that cheap."
Janice didn't want to waste time beating around the bush. Her remarks were extremely harsh and caustic.
Wade's brows furrowed. "Are you calling Alicia cheap?"
"I'll have to crash here tonight, Wade. You won't be cruel enough to kick me out, right?"
Wade hesitated, thinking of Janice who had just left. "Why are you here?"
"There was an incident in my neighborhood. People say it's unsafe. Besides, I need to work on some sketches, so I came here."
"What happened to the password?" Wade asked.
Alicia tilted her head, meeting his gaze. "I changed it. Does that bother you?"
He stared at her silently, then stepped back. "It's fine."
Her smile widened, as if she had expected that answer. "Don't you worry Jan might get jealous if she finds out?"

Can you give me more chapters please...
Can you give me more chapters? I was hoping for a happy ending with Ariel and Jayson. Janice with Wade, and if not, put her with Chad, Matt, or even Liam....
Nice and amazing story with gripping turns, but can you give more chapters? And please we need more romance as readers, it has been dragging on a lot, maybe romance, happy ending and end it soon....
