Even though he wasn’t really worried that Draven would steal Ayla away, just thinking about the two of them watching a movie together ruined his mood.

He and Ayla had never even been to the movies together, but now Draven had gone with her.

Troy looked away, tightened his grip on his phone, and called Isabella into the office.

He already knew that the person following Ayla had lost track of her, probably because Draven noticed.

“Mr. Winston.” Isabella stood in front of the desk waiting for instructions.

“Did you arrange the timing for the return trip?” Troy asked.

Isabella replied, “Yeah, next weekend.”

There would be only one week left before Martin’s birthday after they got back.

Troy asked again, “Did you look into Edgar’s identity?”

“I did. Edgar is Halle’s fiancé.” When Isabella first learned about Ayla and Halle’s relationship, she was surprised, especially since Edgar already had a one-month-old child. “Edgar’s engagement with Halle still hasn’t been called off.”

Troy had originally planned to make a change, but now he realized he didn’t need to.

Edgar was capable and usually never made mistakes, but he just couldn’t beat Draven.

With Edgar’s connection to Halle, Troy felt even less like letting him go.

After Isabella left, Troy stayed alone in the study in total silence.

It felt just like the old days, when he shut himself away to study, desperate to outdo Draven. There was no one else around, just him and his own ambition.

He used to like this kind of silence.

But now, Troy hated it. It was so suffocating that he just wanted to escape.

He suddenly had the urge to call Ayla, just to her her voice…

But he held back.

He had a feeling Ayla wouldn’t even answer.

A week passed by quickly.

Ayla saved the photo Draven sent her on her phone.

Without realizing it, she and Draven had taken more and more pictures together.

In just a few months, she already had more photos with him than she had taken in three years of marriage with Troy.

Sometimes, Ayla would scroll through the photos on her phone with a smile.

After all, there were still two years left. There would be even more memories with him in the future.

And the more genuine their interactions, the more convincing things seemed to Kayla.

Right now, Ayla cared more about what she wanted to do.

She was a doer. After seeing the movie, she discussed the idea of starting an entertainment company with Halle that very night.

Halle had met a producer at a party before and already knew a bit about the entertainment business. She had even tested the waters by investing in a movie out of interest.

When Halle heard about Ayla’s plan, she jumped in to help right away.

Halle had great connections. She found a headhunter and brought in a manager named Hannah Monroe, a thirty-eight-year-old career woman.

Hannah had been a top agent at a long-established entertainment company, making stars out of quite a few artists. But six months ago, one of the artists she made famous turned against her. She quit in frustration and took a six-month break for herself.

Hannah was incredibly capable and knew entertainment companies inside out. Bringing her on board was perfect.

While Halle was busy recruiting people, Ayla handled all the licensing for the new company.

Thanks to her connections, the license came through quickly. She named the company

Centurion Entertainment.

Ayla pulled Halle in as a partner. The two of the owned the company together.

Ayla became Centurion Entertainment’s CEO. Halle was a shareholder without an official role for now. Hannah became vice president and managed the operations for the company.

Hannah quickly set up departments for things like artist management, legal and finance, and public relations. Then, she started hiring more staff.

Ayla wanted to groom her own team, so she thought of someone right away. That person was Samantha, the daughter of her maid, Meryll.

Samantha was the sales associate Ayla had met when buying a gown. Later, she hired Samantha’s mother as her housekeeper. It all felt like fate.

Ayla had noticed that Samantha was cheerful, ambitious, and most importantly, full of energy about life. Because she worked in sales, she had her way with people. There shouldn’t be any issues with her moving into the entertainment industry.

Ayla invited Samantha out for coffee and asked if she’d consider becoming an agent.

It would mean switching fields and starting over from scratch, so it wouldn’t be easy at first.

But Samantha trusted Ayla completely.

She barely thought about it and decided to follow Ayla’s lead.

Ayla also invited Hannah, Samantha, and Casey out. Then, she signed an artist contract with Casey.

Casey became the first signed artist of Centurion Entertainment.

Samantha became Casey’s agent. They were both new to the field, so they would together.

Samantha started learning the ropes while accompanying Casey to shoots.

Casey was given a one-bedroom apartment, a business van, and an agent. Right now, it was just Samantha, but if Casey got famous, there would be a dedicated assistant, too.

All this felt too good to be true for Casey. Every morning, he would pinch his own cheek, convinced that he was still dreaming.

Everything was falling into place, and time was flying by.

Soon, only three days remained until Martin’s birthday.

Ayla had already told Blake she wouldn’t be coming to Storm Group much, and it had already been over two weeks.
