Chapter 366 Whose In The Wrong?
Chapter 366 Whose In The Wrong?
Troy’s mind went blank.
All day long, his emotions had been all over the place. But in the end, Ayla still showed up. That alone had given him hope. He was certain she would come back to him, agree to remarry, and continue their life together.
But he was wrong.
Completely wrong.
Ayla had waited until everyone was present to cut ties with him for good. She wanted a clean break.
If he had known her true plan from the start, he would never have pushed her to come.
Troy’s face turned dark with rage. His eyes burned. He finally realized he had been played. Her obedience and cooperation were just an act. She only wanted this moment, with him there and everyone watching, to cut ties with him.
Troy had never told his family about the divorce. In his eyes, divorce was a disgrace. Even worse, he believed Ayla was the one who dumped him. He couldn’t accept it, and he didn’t want anyone to know.
His plan was simple. Remarry her in private. Keep the family in the dark. That way, no one could laugh at him behind his back.
But Ayla wanted everything out in the open.
Family disgrace, exposed.
Troy was furious. Luckily, Ayla had only been arguing. She hadn’t mentioned they had divorced.
They couldn’t know.
He couldn’t afford that kind of humiliation.
Troy moved at once, reaching out to grab Ayla and pull her away.
But just as his hand was just about to touch hers Ayla quickly jerked her hand back.
At the same time, his other wrist was seized by someone else. He struggled, but the grip did not loosen at all.

Troy turned around. It was Draven. His face was blank, but his eyes were icy. The cold in them was terrifying.
He wasn’t afraid of Draven. What shocked him was the storm hidden under Draven’s quiet expression. It was fiercer than his anger.
Before Troy could speak, Draven yanked him aside and shoved him hard.
Troy wasn’t prepared. He crashed to the floor.
It wasn’t just a fall. The impact was heavy and loud. Even the sound alone made it clear how much it hurt.
Troy’s eyes turned dark and savage. He had lost all reason and lunged at Draven.
Everyone had seen plenty in their lives. But the aw, animal-like hostility in the air stunned everyone. No one moved.
Just then, a commanding voice rang out, sharp and absolute. “Everyone, stop! No one move!”
Troy recognized Martin’s voice. For a split second, he still hoped to land one hard punch on Draven, but it was too late. Lincoln had already signaled the security team. They rushed in and pulled Troy away.
Anger and frustration crashed over him at once.
Troy stared at Ayla, his face dark and stiff. He never imagined she would play him like this and in front of so many people.
He felt ridiculous. Troy had lowered his pride to win her back. He had kept himself in check, watched his tone, and swallowed her sharp words. He had endured everything for her; now it all felt like a joke.
The more he thought about everything he had done these past days, the more it burned. Ayla hadn’t just rejected him-she had humiliated him in public. His eyes turned cold and harsh. Troy growled at her in a low voice, “Enough. Don’t say another word.”
“Silence!” Martin snapped.
Troy shut his mouth, but the fury in his eyes did not fade at all.
Martin ignored him and turned to Ayla instead. Ayla,” he said calmly, “you can continue.”
As Martin had grown older, his sharp authority ad softened into warmth. Most days, he looked like a kind and gentle grandfather. But when he pulled a long face, his presence was still overwhelming. No one dared to go against him.

All of Troy’s anger and panic had nowhere to go. He could only force them down.
At the same time, Carmen’s face turned ghostly pale.

She didn’t know how much Martin had heard. She hurriedly shot a look at Eric. He glanced at her, then at Ayla.
Carmen froze.
He had heard everything.
In the past, no matter how harshly Carmen scolded Ayla, she always swallowed it in silence. If Carmen had known Ayla would react like this today, arguing back and standing her ground. she never would have spoken so harshly in front of everyone. Even when she wanted to act like the strict mother-in-law, she would have kept Martin in mind.
Bria, on the other hand, just wanted to disappear.
Once Martin stepped out, no one dared to remain seated. The relatives all stood up at once. After Draven and Troy got into a fight, the atmosphere grew even heavier than before. No one dared to breathe too loudly.
Ayla’s words earlier had already stunned everyone. But now that Martin was here, would she really dare to criticize the family’s values to his face?
After all, Ayla was Martin’s granddaughter-in-law. Causing a scene on his birthday felt wrong no matter how you looked at it.
Even though Ayla had suffered many grievances she shouldn’t have pushed things this far. At least today, with the way she had acted, she didn’t seem to be in the right.
Eric felt his wife and daughter staring holes into him. No matter how weak he usually was, he knew he had to say something. Eric looked at the daughter-in-law he had never truly cared about and spoke carefully. “Ayla,” he said, “today is Dad’s birthday. You arrived late and made a huge scene. That’s not right. And bringing up family values on a day like today.”
